I don't know...all the 37yo Shane did was beat a guy not many thought was any good to begin with and is a cheat.
If Leonard can fight Hagler without a tune-up, then Floyd should be able to fight Pacquiao without one. :smoke
So you agree Mosley would deep fry Floyd if he faced him without a tune up. Sweet, you've seen the light.:yep
If he thinks he's on that playing field, sure. Then again, I don't know if Leonard would have the balls to face Sharmba Mitchell as a tune up for Judah. That's too much man!!
I'm still not sure a Hatton win would totally seal it. The way I see it, if Pacquiao beats Hatton then Pac-Floyd is inevitable. If Hatton beats Pac, then Mosley-Mayweather PROBABLY has the biggest appeal, but then again, Hatton-Floyd II might make for a bigger payday with much less risk. I'm afraid if Shane does get a crack at Floyd, it might be too far down the line. I guess if Floyd beats Pac (assuming he beats Ricky) then MAYBE, Shane would be in line for a bout with Floyd approximately a year from now? It's a shame in a way, because if Pacquiao never fought DLH, then the logical fight would be Mosley-Floyd. Pacquiao ****ed everything up!
The man has been away from the ring for quite some time. IMO he would need a tune-up before facing a guy like Mosley. If he fought Mosley without a tune-up I would say it would be a 50/50 fight with a tune-up 70-30 PBF.
So you don't think Hagler would have gotten credit for beating SRR had the decision gone the other way? Maybe.... I think anyone who beats Floyd will get lots of credit, regardless of the circumstances.
Why is Cotto on this list as a tune-up? There is a better chance Floyd gets in the ring with Valuev than Cotto! It will/should be either Collazo or Quintana, they are both solid fighters, but very beatable. Cotto is one of the top fights for Mayweather, and in no way shape or form is a tune-up!
