Who should Ortiz fight in December?

    Ortiz will probably be fighting on the Khan/Maidana undercard. Kotelnik was supposed to have been his opponent but that is unlikely now. Other options are Kaizer Mabuza (who beat Kendall Holt but has done little else) and British lightweight John Murray.

    Personally if the Kotelnik fight can't happen (which would be a very close fight in my opinion) then he should either beat the crap out of Murray (which would increase his profile in the UK ahead of a possible fight with Khan) or perhaps another contender like Urango, or Malignaggi at a catchweight. There aren't really many meaningful fights for him and there won't be for some time if the winners of the Bradley/Alexander and Khan/Maidana fights clash next year as expected.

    Kotelnik would have been my first choice - shame it seems unlikely now.

    Mabuza, Peterson or Urango I suppose. I'd love to see him against Rios but I think we'll have to wait a couple of years for that.

    I think Ortiz would destroy Murray - a massacre.
