In order to get ready for the Klitschkos who should he fight next? I think he has the guts to step in the ring with them. He will have the courage and determination to try and show a good fight with them. Now whether he succeeds in the bout or not, different question. On the European screen he has pretty much cleaned out. Boytsov is around Helenius if he comes back, though he will probably want to have one easy fight before steps it up again. Pianeta, or Sosnowski are names, oh Charr as well, but really what would he gain fighting these guys...? Abdusalamov's name is growing, he is big and fights actively. The folks from Britain, would be stepping backwards in my opinion. Price is not ready, plus busy anyway. Fury? Well, how about Fury? Would he accept a challenge? And there comes the American brigade: Arreola is fighting Stiverne, which I think is a good fight. The winner of that could fight Pulev, but is it worth financially to Arreola, who then would be in line for both the WBC and the IBF anyways. He might fight Wlad, before Pulev gets to him, unless he chooses to wait till Vit retires and then goes for the WBC... Mitchell, don't think so. Rodriguez, my favourite, what's up with him? Malik Scott is looking for a fight, Pulev - Scott anyone? Cunnnigham hasn't shown much in HW yet. Winner of Wilder-Jennings if it happens. These guys wouldn't take it though. Then you have the Adamek-Solis winner. Hm... Did I miss anyone?
He's got a couple of ok wins, over ok fighters. But what is up with all these old ass prospects? 31 years old even if he does get a shot down the line and somehow wins he's hardly going to have a long and memorable reign
I KNOW RIGHT!!! I'm getting sick and tired about reading/hearing about these 'great' prospects... Who I then check out and think, "This guy's not too bad!!!"... Only to find he is already well into his 30s, or already 27+. Where are the damn 'prospects' that are in their early 20s??? Those are the guys we wanna see!!!
If he gets the fight after Wach for Volo, then he shouldn't fight anybody else first. If he must wait for Povetkin, he should get a guy like Thompson or Charr. Nobody to threaten what he has earned, but solid guys that have earned a challenger name, recently.
I didn't mention Haye and Povetkin as Haye only wants Vitali, plus no point of that match from Haye's perspective. Povetkin and Pulev and Helenius are in the same club. They won't fight each other, yet. Ok he is not in his twenties, but I think he is a legitimate contender/challenger to the throne.

Ideal would be fighting the Adamek/Solis winner, provided that happens. More likely Pulev won't choose an elite heavy as his next opponent. I've heard he's interested in staging a fight in Bulgaria, possibly vrs. someone from the region. Someone like Pudar or Charr maybe.
He fights nobody who is a threat now that he has the mandatory position. Maybe he faces Firtha or someone of that standard.
