Oh, he just decided to give up an easy 2,5m$ payday against Green followed by an almost guaranteed payday in the semis for no reason. Yeah Right.
Well, according to b-scene, it looks like it's going to be Sakio Bika stepping in to face Green. The fight might be happening in Quebec, which would mean Green getting some extra money as his contract says his next fight should be in the US.
there should be no replacements and there never should have been. The super 6? if someone dropped out then it should be 5 ect. until this thing is over. its seems to be dragging on as its not what it set out to be.
It would never work if 1 dropped out they should have 5 competing, then 4, etc. In fact...it would take a lot longer. And it hasn't actually been dragging on from what I know...even with people dropping out, the Super 6 would still be one stage away from the Semi-final.
Its too bad they didn't just go straight to the semis'... It makes no sense to me. [maybe Green/DiBella wouldn't let Showtime out of the contract?] The only guy I'd accept is Stieglitz... (only because he brings another belt into the tourney) Even then,,, it's bull**** imo. Neither Green, or any newcomer deserves to fluke their way into the semis ahead of the guys who have been in since the get go.
So Green vs TBA - If the winner is by KO/TKO can knock Dirrell or Froch out of the tournament. I assume that if the winner wins by decision anybody else with 2 points will finish above them.
ok maybe I didnt mean it was draggin on. mostly the talk is dragging on . it just take so much time for 6 people to all fight, then having a new comer or two come in , who then dont fight every one just makes it not really be about 6 boxers fighting each other. Say green gets to the final and also the new replacement . whats super 6 all about then
Yeah I agree. Make Abraham v Froch, and Dirrell v Ward the semi-finals...these guys have fought twice, been in the tournament from the start...
Is anyone else ****ed right off that Bute thinks he is above this competition. I can see why he doesn't want to fight seeing as he has a big fan base who consider him the top dog so why bother risking it. I still won't like him until he fights either Froch/Abraham/Ward/Dirrell. I'm going to be selfish and say I want to see Brian Magee in it.
:yep:yep:yep:yep i like magee....but surely you jest...he's euro class at his very best...no way does he deserve to be anywhere nr this tournament.
He was beating the flying **** out of his last opponent till he got dq'd. But as for despicable, yes I'd have to go along with that. Dirty ****er he is. Obviously Bute should enter even if its only for one fight. After all a defense against even Allen Greene has got to be better than Jesse Brinkley.atsch I have a feeling it may be Stieglitz. Been in good form recently and has a belt which should be enough to pacifiy DiBella and Greene.
Bute isn't above the competition at SMM. Look at Kesslers, Dirrells, Frochs and all the other guys resumes, Bute doesn't have the best resume, and he was practically KO'ed by Andrade in the first fight. Even if you're a fan of Magee why would you want to see him in the super 6?
