to be honest as much as i love watching rigo fight, If by any chance donaire defeats him and defeats him in devastating fashion. The win will just be "rigondeaux is overrated" "rigondeaux was a weak win" "Rigondeaux was never good from the start" you'll hear **** like that. Last thing we need is that. Put him up against someone better than toshiaki or on par with who he has fought in the past to get the fight with donaire.

As far as him fighting Donaire goes, let me just say this:

If it happens tomorrow and Donaire wins, it will clearly NOT be among his top three victories (Darchinyan, Montiel, Nishioka).

  5. Rigo needs to step up his quality fast.

Anyone out of these 4 I will be happy with.

    Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym
    Carl Frampton
    Yukinori Oguni
    Alexander Bakhtin

Then he can fight the winner of Mares vs Moreno and if he gets through that he should fight Donaire.

He should fight Darchinian or Vazquez Jr, dominate them, then really demand a fight with Donaire.

I'm not a Rigondeaux hater as much as I am drawn back by the following he has on this site relative to achievements.

I would say that the Cordoba fight is the one example of his mortality. Lost several rounds, got dropped, and overall looked relatively lazy against a guy who was not among the very best in the division (although Cordoba is legit and his resume says such as well).

he aient going to get any decent fighter because they are all scared of him at this point

he should just follow what every other up and comer and fight a big name that is past his prime still looking for fights

If you haven't been disappointed by Canelo's opposition so far, I'm sure you can handle who Rigo's gonna fight next.

I'm thinking Vasquez Jr, only because Nonito already KO's Darch in brutal fashion. Nonito struggled some with WVJr and if Guillermo can dominate Jr, or even KO him that would be a statement.

I'd love to see him vs Agbeko... but I don't know what's his status. Anyone knows if he's healty ? Hasn't had a fight since Mares.
