Why not Donaire now? It's not Rigo's fault he grew up in Cuba and couldn't turn pro sooner and pad his record. The guy has two gold medals in the olympics, which was his only outlet while in Cuba. The only people who don't want to see this fight are in Donaire's camp and Donaire fans. If Rigo loses, so what? At least boxing fans are happy the fight was made. Do we need more BS stalling like Floyd v Pac?
Yes he looked terrible dropping all of them and knocking out the #1 fighter in the division and winning 2 clear wide decisions against two top 10 guys. One of which had a title and is a 5'11 122 pounder!!!!!!!! Donaire is ducking Rigo to fight better more proven fighters.:roflBiggest joke going on the forum fight now.
11 fights and look up David Reid. His first 4 opponents had a combined record of 42-2 and he beat the VERY good Laurent Boudouani in his 12th fight to win a REAL title. And Boudouani is better then anyone on Rigo's resume. He also fought Robert Frazier, Simon Brown and a host of decent fighters. His resume blows Rigo's out of the water. And in his 15th pro fight he stepped up to fight Felix ****ing Trinidad. Rigo is not one of a kind.
Biggest joke post I ever seen. Ramos would lose ever round vs Mathebula. Get Ko'd by Vazquez and Nishioka. Same with Kennedy. Cordoba gives Vazquez trouble because he's a counter puncher but Vazquez could crack his chin just like Dunne and Mathebula would be a close fight and Nishioka schools him. Everyone Donaire beats becomes a bum all of a sudden.:rofl
Question is; will poonsawat come to fight in America? Because last thing Rigo needs is walk away from the American tv audience to fight in Asia . I still believe that WV2 is right now the best option, but like I said before, papito is looking for a winning streak to get back in the winning map and I can tell they're building up a beef against Juanma for a local mega fight in PR.
"Rigo was a glass jawed hype job. He was an amateur with only 12 fights and only one decent win. Donaire sucks and he is ducking real fighters like Andre Ward and Marco Huck." That's exactly what it will be like if they fought right now and Donaire blasted him out in a few rounds. And if he wins a decision Mathebula style???? Oh boyyyyy.
Yet every bum and nobody defeated by Rigo is a solid, credible opponent, according to Rigo's fanboys Glassmo's fans belittling Donaire's resume are being delusional. They dont realize that, if Nonito's resume is bad, then Rigo's resume is less than ****.
Can't fight coming forward, low work rate, hasn't proven himself against the elite, takes rounds off and when he gets hurt he gets on his bike and stin ks out the place and might have a glass jaw. It's funny in his 6th pro fight they put him in with Cordoba and he looks like **** and gets dropped and has yet to fight anyone close to as good as Cordoba since. You think that's an accident?
