AJ should go for this fight. If he knocks out Ruiz it will do his image a lot good. But I’m not convinced he wouldn’t be KO’d himself.
Anyone who is willing to fight with a quick turn around. He is way too inactive. He had a fight three months before the close loss to Parker. He had two months before the win over Joshua He had six months off before the second Joshua fight and looked terrible. He had 17 months off before getting dropped by over-the-hill Arreola. He had 16 months off before going the distance with a shot Ortiz (we all saw the Martin fight). They need to keep this guy in the ring as much as possible and away from the buffet table
Ruiz beat the highly ranked Ortiz and I doubt he has any intention of fighting someone outside the Top 10...
Wilder is the poorest fighter on the list but the I'd most like to see- I'd like Ruiz to put a beating on Wilder.
Wilder. Ruiz will be at a disadvantage (short arms & slow feet are tailor made for A Bomb Squad highlight reel KO) However, if Ruiz can catch him on the inside early it will become intriguing.
Winner of Wilder/Helenius is the obvious choice, he's already called out Wilder. I seriously doubt anyone else is even in consideration as PBC like keep things in house. If for some reason that doesn't happen then winner of Joyce/Parker would be a good fight that could be made. That too would bring him closer to a title shot and if Parker wins then we get to see Ruiz try and avenge one of his losses.
"I'd like Ruiz to put a beating on Wilder." You mean like he did on Joshua? Mitch, you know that Wilder will destroy Ruiz if he has anything left. This is why you're already trying to adjust Ruiz down on your CV calculator, in order to reduce the credit Wilder must receive from you when he KO's the morbidly obese Mexican midget.
