Somewhat slim pickings in the IBF Top 15. Would any of these guys take a fight with Peter?

Tony Thompson probably deserves it the most. However, it would put TT on a collision course with Chambers, and both EC and TT are Goosen promoted.

So more likely it will be Arreola or Helenius. Or Maurice Harris if neither of those guys want the fight.

Any chance Peter could fight on the Pac/Mos card?

I agree, when I saw Tony's name I suddenly thought about another thread for the most underrated top 10 HW.

The idea that Peter is only one elimator away from ANOTHER shot is ludicrous! If anyone deserves another shot at Wlad it is probably Thompson, but I'd rather see Arreola or Helenius fight him. A Helenius fight would be pretty exciting

Cause every other contender is ducking because they are scared of Chambers :rofl. And (I'm guessing) cause Top Rank has pull with the IBF.

I really don't want to see a third Wlad-Peter fight and actually, Peter probably doesn't either. A Peter-Arreola bout would be good and so wouldn't Peter-Boystov. Peter is still a top 10-15 heavyweight and can make for some good match ups, just noone wants to see anymore Klitschko-Peter beatdowns.

But if he somehow manages to win, we could see the fourth Wlad vs. Peter match in the rematch.

    Now that would be something

I agree Peter isn't interested in a Klit rematch. But none of the Top 20 will fight him so these mandated eliminators are his way of getting his name up there.

Plus, before Wlad fights his next IBF mandatory he'll have to face Chisora, Adamek, and perhaps Haye, so there's no guarantee Wlad will be holding the IBF belt a year from now.

Peter is in a precarious position. By his own admission he can't beat the Klitschko brothers, but he is a threat to every other top HW. When Peter is in shape he is remarkably effective against fighters somewhere close to his height. I think he should have pursued these matchups before rushing into Klitschko again, because there is a distinct possibility all the punishment he has absorbed means he can't cut it anymore. If Peter had come out the way he did against Klitschko vs Povetkin/Arreola/Haye there would have been fireworks.

Apparently there are rumours Peter has put on close to 30 pounds since the Klitschko fight, and is getting depressed again. On the otherhand he has just hired Jeff Mayweather to sharpen his skills.

I say it's high time he and Arreola fought. They have been calling each other out for years, it will be an exciting slugfest. Arreola V Abell & Peter V Tarver and then the two to meet in Vegas.

Isn't Derrick Rossy fighting him very soon?

I think the idea is if Chambers beats Rossy, then another eliminator will be mandated (presumably vrs the winner of the match Peter's camp wants to organize). Back when the elimination tourney was announced, Dimitrenko, Mormeck, Povetkin, Helenius, and Boystov all balked, presumably because facing Chambers is too risky.
