Or continue fighting at his level against fighters he thinks he can beat or compete with while making a good living and maintaining his health. Give Saunders more time to craft his skill and build his confidence. I've never seen Saunders box but if he admits he can't compete with GGG at this point in his career than I give him credit for being honest and not being pressured. Didn't he just win the title?

GGG seems like a no brainer, you fight another champ in your division and get paid well.

Belt holders should seek out other belt holders within their division, it's simple really.

Couldn't he make more money fighting a safer opponent like Canelo? Canelo has a larger fan base and is a bigger ppv draw. How much money is he guaranteed for fighting GGG? I like GGG but his ppv numbers against lemuix was disappointing and Saunders is not a big name in boxing. Where is this money coming from? Are they willing to pay Saunders more than GGG?

Unfortunately Floyd mayweather started the trend. Boxing is more of a business than a sport. Keeping the 0 is more important than the love of the sport.

I triple that:good:good:good He should pull a mayweather and wait till he gets old and less dangerous while maintaining his undefeated record and then fight him.

Deffo mate, personally I would wait until GGG is in his 50's ha.

BJS still young, learning and his good creditable fights, an money making fights elsewhere. GGG IS JUST SUICIDE RIGHT NOW :good

Take the money now while it's there.

whereas i would prefer what saunders did to an all action brawl...because in that fight he used the correct tactics to win..a chess match of sorts...and when a boxer uses correct tactics over pure aggression it can also be impressive

Exactly what I had been considering recently.

I can totally see that happening.

Incidentally, I'm surprised not to see a single vote for Canelo. I have to imagine that Canelo easily brings the most money to the table for BJS, and that it's also perhaps the most winnable fight of the group (excluding Cotto, as I don't see that one as being plausible).

So if I was BJS and I had a choice to face any of those guys, I'd pick Canelo without hesitation.

I vote Canelo too. He should chased that fight with all his might, he'll make Canelo look like an amateur. But he better try his hardest to get the KO just in case of a robbery.

I'd like him to fight Golovkin, but he should undoubtedly be doing everything possible to fight Canelo. FWIW this fight makes a lot of sense for Canelo too IMO and would also make for a much more competitive fight than either of them against GGG.

QFT. The man holds a belt. He should fight other belt holders (excepting mandatories, of course). Doesn't matter if you think you're ready or not. I mean, you were ready to take that first belt. At this point, you don't regress. You only move forward.

The only guy Saunders can beat is Alvarez.
