id love to see either guy fight/rematch jacobs personally, if its canelo id also love to see him fight lemi but golovkin left no doubt about who the better of those two were when they fought

BJS? Charlo? Derevychenko? Jacobs rematch? Move up to 168 to fight DeGale, Ramirez, or the WBSS winner? All of those would be good.

If Canelo wins I'd like to see him vs Jacobs most. If GGG wins, BJS to become undisputed, or move up to 168.

Really depends who wins. I don't think Canelo would want any part of Charlo or Jacobs, so likely he'd go after BJS. GGG I think is more likely to move up to 168, though again the BJS (or Monroe Jr...) fight would likely interest him. Don't think he'd mind rematching Jacobs or fighting Charlo either. Lots of good fights there

Jacobs wants his rematch :rosstheboss Also would be nice to finally see BJS match his tough talk with action in a unification bout. Charlo is another name that sounds interesting.

If GGG wins I would really like him to unify with BJS or move up 2 division to meet Ward.
That would be genuine super fight between 2 veterans.

If canelo wins he has BJS, Jacobs, leumiux, charlo to test him.
Also there could be GGG canelo rematch if it is competitive.

If Golovkin wins, he will fight Saunders for the last belt if the belt is still on the line. Otherwise, he will go for other top 5 including Jacobs and Charlo. The thing is, people like to talk and call his name always at the time when he has a fight. Just imagine the silence after Canelo fight..

I agree if GGG wins he owes Jacobs a rematch. Then if he wins that Charlo makes sense, then call it a career win or lose. Probably shouldn't bother pushing it against the other of the three toughest challenges out there, meaning Derevyanchenko.

If Canelo wins, fair enough to immediately stay away from the riskier matchups. Go for the Golden Boy war against Lemieux first. After that the fairly light hitting Saunders, then I'd love to see a Jacobs fight, or maybe by then the winner of a Jacobs-Charlo fight. I'm picking GGG over Canelo, but if Canelo and Charlo keep winning they would make for a huge fight between prime young studs, say May 2019.

Will Jacobs previous showing make him more reasonable in rematch negotiations? Last time he had Golovkin over a bit of a barrel as he was viewed as his toughest assignment yet whereas now he's already been beaten but showed enough that there would be both interest and lack of fear he was going to take a career ending loss.

Who knows to be honest. I think Golovkin took on Jacobs and conceded terms to him to prove a point. He could have just said the split is set, take it or leave it. If Jacobs tries to strongarm for a bigger split this time I suspect GGG will tell him to keep walking. There's Charlo and BJS and even Eubank (assuming his insane father isn't still intent on ruining his career) that would be good fights at MW.

George Groves will be taking care of CEJ soon enough if old man Eubank doesn't intervene the way he normally does whenever his son is matched with anyone genuinely world class.

I really think this fight is so good, talking about who the winner shouldfight next makes no sense. Anyone they fight next will not be anything as exciting as who they are fighting this time.

Well, in his sincere mind he doesn't perceive himself in that negative fashion. Instead, he imagines himself absolutely essential to the success of his son's career. Just recently he took approx. a full 20 minutes during a press conference explaining this while his son sat silently at his side.

    Here's is the interview:

He does make a good point about having saved an opponents life by advising his some not to hit him on the head during the last round. He also makes other good points which are irrefutable. But no one is really challenging those points. What they are offended by is something else entirely which he seems unable to see.

    BTW
Eubank senior resembles an extremely exaggerated version of Danny Garcia's dad. That having been said, I think that Eubank junior would outpoint Golovkin. So to beat him triple G would need a K0 or TKO.

this is almost never brought up, but i agree that they might dominate rematch negotiations and probably already are harming (or outright killing) Jacobs' search for an opponent on 14 October

Golovkin took on Jacobs and conceded terms to him to prove a point
pretty sure you're talking about: (i) GGG making up the 15 points' difference between what the WBA said Jacobs was entitled to (25%) and what Jacobs believed he was worth (40%); and (ii) removing the rematch clause. i completely agree.

Haymon probably told Jacobs that if the fight isn't signed by year end, Team GGG will become anxious to get in the ring and likely concede whatever is necessary to make the fight.

this is just such an odd posture for Team Jacobs: the mandatory obligation belonged to GGG, not the other way around. So Jacobs acted like a total diva and said in essence, GGG owes me a fight because i'm the mandatory challenger, under authority of the WBA...except that i will ignore the WBA's authority when it comes to setting the purse schedule.

as you implied, it seems reasonable that GGG "needed" the Jacobs fight to reinforce his dominance at MW, so he gives Jacobs $80K and deletes the rematch clause but that was then, and GGG got what he wanted in the first fight. I don't see Team GGG making the same concessions for GGG vs Jacobs II.

and yet Jacobs i should think will make the same demands for money above the WBA purse schedule; in fact, given that he clearly believes he is best MW in the world, and that he got $1M for the Quillen fight, i would be suprised if Jacobs wasn't more demanding on the financials for the rematch.

these same demands, along with his scorched-earth engame tactics (no VADA samples submitted, bait-and-switch on the IBF weigh-in, spending the last few weeks of his camp at the former BALCO boss (Victor Conte) facility, and walking into the ring a very large MW--are the real reasons (rather than Jacobs' story that every potential opponent is scared of him) that he was dropped from the GGG vs Canelo undercard and that he now has a confirmed fight date (14 October) and a confirmed venue (Barclays Centre) but no opponent, despite promising publicly on 1 August that his opponent would be announced in a few days (still no announcement)

minor point: you mentioned Chris Eubank Jr as a possible opponent. I don't see this. First, there's the whole drama from last year that resulted in the Kell Brook fight. Eddie Hearn apparently loves to work with Team GGG, but Hearn has said that he won't work with the Eubanks again--ever. No such baggage exists if the opponent is Canelo, but in that case, i still think Jr is out of consideration because my sense is that he's moved up to SMW to for good.

Canelo-Jacobs would be a good fight.

If GGG wins, I don't see him ever rematching Jacobs. His team does not seem interested at all based on the comments I've heard. They want belts (Saunders) and $$$ (Canelo rematch).

Personally I would also like the Ward fight before GGG gets too old, if the $$$/diva problems with Ward can be worked out. I feel GGG could do better than Kovalev against Ward.
