Who do you think Canelo should pick up as a trainer? I think Robert Garcia would be a good choice for him.

If he's doing well with his current trainer there's no need to add someone else.

he needs to learn to cut the ring. he needs to learn to feint more often. he needs to stop loading up...and he also needs to learn to close distance better.

clemente medina would be an excellent trainer for him.

He is number 1 at 154 lbs under his current trainer so something is working well, would like to see his foot worked big time as that is his main problems.

But who else at 154 lbs fights that style as well as Lara , Trout and Mayweather 2 of which he beat in close fights.

Hard to make a strong case for a trainer change considering all of the success he's having.

Canelo however hasn't yet optimized his potential and has some glaring deficiencies in his game which is why some are clamoring a change.

I'm surprised no one said Freddie Roach lol

Serious though, he needs to focus on conditioning and footwork. My opinion. He loads up on every punch and this causes him to gas out. He has quick hands, really good combos, but he cuts off the ring poorly. If he can cut off the ring and better condition himself, he'd be an even bigger threat. I don't know who should train him.

I think Roach could help help with his footwork
and teach him to load up when the time is right,
I like the Reynoso's but I think they have reached their limit with him , Garcia has no advice when his guys are behind
In a fight except cursing in Spanglish.
Maybe GGG coac' s from summit in Big Bear forget his name would be a good fit.

Keep the hope alive he's bound to be derailed one day by someone other than FLoyd.

Roach for better movement to improve his ability to cut off the ring, and to increase his timing to make more use of his body shots when he does have his opponent in his sweet spot.

Nacho would be good too, he'd hammer in the fundamentals and basics into Canelo and improve his ability overall.

Pedro Diaz. It would be good to have Canelo come out of his pseudo-Mexican style.
