Who should Vazquez and Marquez fight after their trilogy is over?

I personally would like to see Vazquez move up to 126 regardless if he wins or loses and seek out a fight with Linares. That would be a great match up.

For Rafa Marquez, I really want to see him fight Johnny Gonzales. I think it would be a terrific match with lots of action and a high technical level.

    What are your opinions?

I think both guys should take a break. These kinds of fights really wear you down.

Amen. Hopefully, they will have enough money to take a nice break and let their bodies recover. If this fight is like the last two, they are going to need some time off.

They will definitely fight at the end of the year but against a 122 pounder titlist, either Caballero, DPDL or a 126 pounder like Chris John. Vazquez and Marquez don't beat each other to death to fight a less credible opponent next. I want to see Guerrero ( after he demolishes Litzau) against Linares.

A break is absolutly needed for both fighters.

    But...why stop at 3?

Hell I'd be all for a best of 7 if they decided to do it.

Their fights have delivered both times they've squared off and the 3rd, or a 4th, or a 5th, etc., will too.

Vasquez/Marquez = the best fights in boxing, and as a fan I love when they fight each other no matter how many times they've met before.

    Howabout Marquez-Vazquez IV? :D

They should take a break and take easy fights for the rest of 2008. Then they could fight someone like Ponce De Leon (pretty easy fight too), Molitor, or Cabarello. Maybe Juanma Lopez will be ready for a titleshot in 2008. It all depends on how past-it they will feel in their tune up fights during the second half of 2008. Vazquez-Linares is really interesting.

If Rafael Marquez gets blown out early or something disappointing like that he should probably retire. He's already past-it and very old for a bantam.. continuing to fight wars would be sad to watch.

I dont know how much izzy will have left in the tank after these wars with rafa but i'd like him to go after caballero or move up and face the winner of Guerrero/Litzau before going after the big fish at feather linares.
