Anyone could KO anyone given the opportunity, all it takes is one punch in the HW Division. You still shouldn't bank on getting lucky in any fight. Even if Wlad got caught by a punch from Briggs early, he would do exactly what he did to Sam Peter. Clinch. Briggs has some snap on his punches, but his defense as the fight wears on gets worse and worse. His hands were held so low in his last fight, it was unbelievable that Sultan didn't capitalize on that. Wlad doesn't make that mistake, and if he has the opportunity to unload on someone after he feels the threat is gone, he will.

Your arguement for Briggs seems to be based on the fact that he was the WBO champion, and if he can get in condition. I think its been shown that being Champion doesn't mean much, especially in todays Heavyweight Division. And Briggs has shown that when it counts he just doesn't do enough conditioning training. He was going in with two guys who aren't fighters who rush forward and swarm their opponent. What was he expecting to accomplish by lifting all those weights and seeming to put off any sort of conditioning training?

Briggs had some things going for him back in the time when he fought Lewis. He was quick on his feet, and had some wicked snap and quickness on his punches. Unfortunately now he is just a slow moving four round fighter. He still has great quickness on his punches, but he just can't hold a sustained workrate in the condition he is in.

Man would you just give up briggs please. This flat footed ****** would get his face jabbed off. Wlad would not even have to use his right again. Briggs has zero footwork, zero head movement and does not throw punches he would get killed. It is pretty funny how you are on here still defending him day in and day out. Even though we had to listen to your crap about him destroying Sultan and how he will be in top shape. The guy is a fraud. He beat ten cans in a row and got a couple lucky punches to win a belt. He has not beaten a good fighter ever. He does not deserve a title shot with Wlad. Back to the cab driver circuit where he belongs!

Just looking through Briggs' record..I'd like to know exactly what prompts the view that he can do anything other than get lucky? Here are some noteworthy fights in his career.

    Sultan Ibragimov

    Lennox Lewis

: Nothing to really be ashamed of. Absolutely no doubt Briggs was about to stop Lewis in round 6.
    George Foreman

: This isn't really an incredible achievement considering the advanced age.
    Darroll Wilson

    : 15-0-2

The ONLY fighters of note that he has beaten have been an old Foreman, and Lyakhovich whose only win of note was against Lamon Brewster.

I never said they lost..... I said Toney almost lost (SD)...with steroids.

What about the great Ross Purity? Briggs isnt the only one with a stained record. Brigg's loss to Fields in no worse than that to Purity.

Briggs would have to win a tune-up in order for a fight with Wlad to sell

It seems as if any opponent other than Briggs is unacceptable to you.

Not quite, but not another guy like Sanders(old and usless now), Virchis has no chance against Wlad. Briggs is the only opponent not locked down with fights coming up.

Klitschko vs Briggs at the Gardens!

He should fight BRIGGS for these reasons...

    He is the biggest name
He is hideously over-rated by US fight fans and US media
He is a very easy fight
I will enjoy watching that lump of roids get KO'd
