Wladimir Klitschko will be working around whatever happens and whoever appears so what's the point of tryin to play matchmakers? I don't think Wlad, Manny or Bernd Broente owe any explanations on whom they'd rather negotiate with cause they may have elements we probably don't have and they are not supposed to prove anything at all to start with. Contenders will always covet what titlists have so when they challenge someone in particular, I believe they have the solid base to take their chances anyway - maybe Shannon realized Wlad has always shown something akin to growing panic and he can deliver the coup de grĂ¢ce ( a la Lyakhovich) that will turn his bones into liquid, maybe Wlad sees in Shannon ( or Sanders or Purity) the means to justify his "supple grace" or to give the "touch of class" inherent in his allure - it is impossible to know exactly what one would do until the occasion arises anyway - so it's not who he should (false question), it's who he could face cause the powers that be don't want him to pick an opponent, neither do I to be frank, it's the winner of the IBF tournament for Wlad and nothing more, life goes on and so do I.
I am what? "crearly" "loosing" ?????you lost me dude....... I said Briggs COULD KO Klitschko and any intelligent fan would see that Briggs has atleast a punchers chance.....
He can only fight the best available contender, and that is between Vichis or Briggs as already discussed. His last 4 fights have also been against the best available contender. It is not his fault that he so much better than the other contenders out there - you idiotic hater.:blood
I agree Wlad has taken on credible opponents/Austin (not his fault mandatory). If he wants to convince me he has no fear and is head and shoulders above the rest all he has to do is fight the cannon.
Thompson says he wants to stay busy and fight later this year. I know he's in line with a WBO shot, but if he truly think he's the best he should take the fight with Wlad. Plus, Tony's ranked #10 by the Ring. Otherwise, take Virchis, ranked #9 by the Ring. :deal
Who wants to watch Briggs vs Wlad? You? I dont know whether Wlad would be able to stop Virchis in round 3 or not,but I have no doubt that Virchis would beat the **** out of Sedrick Fields if they even met each other in a box ring. As you may know your hero Briggs once faced Fields in the ring losing a point decision to him. After Briggs outstandingly lame performance against Sultan-who is the weakest champ out there IMO-who really wants to see Briggs again in a title fight`? You can say a lot about Virchis, but his fights are usually quite entertaining and fun to watch.Virchis' encounter with his talented compatriot Bidenko was one of the most exciting heavy weight fights which could be seen within the last couple of years. I for my part prefer Virchis getting his title shot to Briggs getting another attempt to bore the worldwide audience. Besides Virchis truly deserves a title shot, and his firepower is a threat to any present heavy weight.
I don't know if you've actually seen that fight, but just so that you know, although awarded the victory, Shannon lost that fight. Dear KObyBriggs, with a handle like yours please name me anyone noteworthy that Briggs has indeed KO'd.
Thompson and McCall should be sitting pretty for their mandatory shots at the WBO and WBC champions respectively. Chagaev has the infection to deal with at the moment. Both Briggs and Sanders would be total wastes of time IMO. I know people go on about this 'revenge your losses' stuff but so very very few HWs in history have beaten all their opponent ever anything, I think it's only like 3 guys...so Wlad beating up Grampa Sanders would be a waste of a fight in my mind. Toney should not be anywhere near a title fight at the moment. He shouldn't even be allowed to fight again so soon I believe, so don't gift the guy a title shot like that - he doesn't deserve it. Which leaves Virchis...not exactly the top contender, but maybe he would do. It would be a keep-busy fight of reasonable challenge and danger to keep Wlad's mind on the job, whilst waiting for a bigger slot to become available.
