He might be stronger, but there's only so much a that bit of extra strength is going to help when you've 245lbs of muscles pressing down on your neck and shoulders. Because of his height and reach Chisora would need to be inside of Wlad's reach in order to land his shots. He doesn't have to skills of Povetkin, so sometimes he's going to be stuck on the outside eating jabs and perhaps the off right hand, and when he does manage to get inside Wlad's out reached arm he's going to get a glove behind the head, he'll get pulled downwards and Wlad will be leaning down on him. He'll end up tired and eat an increasing amount of jabs and right hands until he's done. Just the way I see it. Edit: just seen the bit about responding with his own fouls. Sure, he might land a low blow of two, but then he'll soon find himself on the verge of disqualification while Wlad is still using the same tactics. Pretty futile if you ask me.
Pulev is the obvious choice, he's the only one with a clear case for a title shot, hence his mandatory status. But I don't know if their styles would make for a good fight. On the other hand, I thought Wlad vs Sasha would be a great, although onesided fight.. In an ideal world, Fury beats Haye and then challenges Wlad, well slim to none I guess..
Haye didn't seen to be particularly bothered by Chisora's strength. It's not as if he was throwing him all over the ring or anything.
When the ref is telling them to 'keep em up' and have a 'fair fight' before the bell , he might as well just say and 'remember you're not allowed to go near the Champ'. But , I think Chisora would do a lot better inside. He'd punch and kick off like a mule and batter Wlads body. Povetkin could of hit the body , but he let it go.
He's making faaaaar more money against Haye than he would against Wlad (money that will set you up for life) with no 2 or 3 fight rematch options, ands it's a much more winnable fight for him. Ditching that fight to take on Wlad in a voluntary defence would be ridiculous.
Don't care about the opponent, I'm more concerned about what set of rules Voidimir Klinchko will use in his next bout. I hope he decides to start using the rules of professional boxing. That would be a nice change.
http://ringtv.craveonline.com/ratings/heavyweight Its interesting that Pulev is not even in top 15 - WBC and WBA
That's because he was dropped from their rankings after officially being declared mandatory by the IBF. It's explained as NA - IBF (not available because IBF mandatory) on the WBC website under their HW rankings:
