Who showed the best use of angles?

I was going with Hamed, but some great calls.

 

Paul Spadafora against Pito Cardona. Watch the ****in' fight. That's what Spadafora's hype was based on until the PBF sparring session.

 

The Benton-Duva guys -- Holyfield, Meldrick Taylor, Sweet Pea -- were all well-schooled in angles.

Old George really believed in that kind of thing and taught it well. What a terrific job he did with all those guys back then polishing them. Multiple guys and he polished all of them.

Big big loss w/ Duva camp when George Benton was gone. And the results certainly changed for their fighters as well.

For me, it was Willie Pep in his prime, darting in 'n out with flicking jabs and combinations, 'n skittering away, like a water bug, in a different direction before he could be countered, leaving the biggest bangers infuriated, looking like cigar store indians.

I second Wille Pep.

Then Robinson and Ali because of the footwork. Duran is there with his pivoting, slipping, and pushing.

Whitaker from the southpaw was all angles off the jab pivot. Hopkins same.
