    Mayweather comes to mind.

He was never out of shape
Moved up in weight correctly (never ate his way up)
Never appeared to run out of steam
Done it over a twenty year period

    Unbelievable stuff.

    Anyone else spring to mind?

I’d swear Salvador Sanchez’s heartbeat never rose above about 30 beats per minute. He could bounce, punch, move and fight all day.

Eubank Sr and Jones Jr never drank alcohol. Looked a million bucks apiece.

Marvin Hagler is the first that comes to mind.

    Rocky Marciano was disciplined.

Fought every big fight at home . could sleep in his own house etc. Picked the gloves (***** pillows) ref, judges, ringsize, cheated vs Pac with IV. Probably peds.

Jimmy Wilde was almost fanatical about fighting. He really loved it and consequently always kept in shape, alongside activity in the booth fights. A true Taffy spirit!

Kuniaki Shibata also stands out to me. To keep up that explosiveness, that movement, slipping and counter punching, for 15 rounds straight and still look fresh fitness wise implies to me a special dedication. The same can be said for all the top level Featherweights of the 60s and 70s, such as Saldivar, Winstone etc.

Your man Veeraphol never looked ill prepared or out of place in the ring, either.

I think Ray Leonard was pretty consistently in fighting shape for all his bouts - his struggles at the end were driven more by slowing reflexes and timing than conditioning

Michael Spinks comes to mind also

    Hagler is a given

I'll go my grave saying Deathmask was a bad muh'****er.

Your man Tatsuyoshi was (and still is?) a training fanatic, right?
