    :huh The fight hasn't even happened yet, Of course it is in texas... But he is not a GBP fighter and it seems like there the ones who get the dodgy decisioins there.

    My assertion is that your indication of "you have to take it from the champion".......does'nt apply in this case.

    Who do you think would get the decision if Clottey was the champion, and Pac the challenger coming off the Cotto victory.

    The unwritten rule you talk about has nothing to do with being a champion and everything to do with boxing higherup's making sure that the decisions rendered by officials makes full business sense.

    I think the confusion here is you are taking the 'champion' tag in my quote literally. Yes, it can be the financially favorite one too. But Pac is teh champion, the popular one, the financially favorite one, etc.

    It's not with the promoters it's with the bigger economical draw, most of the times the controversial decisions go to the most known-rich fighter.
