I'd say Jackson had a better chance of sticking around and getting the drop on Hearns.

Jackson has the better chin so I have to go with Jack.

I'd give Jackson a far better chance, being that he was a much faster starter than Trinidad and a bigger puncher in general.

Trinidad had excellent power at 154lbs too. Look what he did to Vargas.

I'd say Trinidad. He had a little less power than Jackson (though he was also very powerful), but he had a better jaw than Jackson. Despite going down, he had excellent recovery skills.

Hearns was favored over both. The Detroit Cobra's reach, speed, and footwork would have made the difference, but he couldn't stop and trade blows, with Tito and Jackson, it could have cost him dearly.

He did no question. I just think at 147 Tito was a huge welterweight and in his early title reign his handspeed was different.

You know it always got me thinking of who would have lasted longer against The Hitman. Jackson had a better chin than Norris, but Norris had better movement than Jackson to stay away from Tommy. Either way Tommy at his best would have stopped them both though.

Most definitely Terry Norris due to his better boxing skills and movement. Of course that also depends on if he fights smart from the start. Jackson was normally a faster starter thus making him more vulnerable which is a no-no against Hearns unless you're Hagler.

Hearns would stop both of them:

He'd stop Tito very early as Tito could be caught cold and he actually had a better chin/durability than Julian Jackson and no way would Jackson be able to keep up with him from an outboxing standpoint, pace, or handspeed. Barkley, Sugar Leonard and Hagler went through hellfire to stop Tommy, neither Tito nor Julian were built like than.

Both Trinidad and Jackson has the skills, speed, and power
    to hurt Hearns.
However Hearns would beat both those men, because whatever they
could do, Hearns could do a tad bit better, other than the
    left hook.

I don't think that GMan would come at Tommy Hearns all out aggressive; he sparred Hearns and would know what it feels like to have Tommy Hearns hit him and he wouldn't have a huge size advantage like he did against Jackson.
Watch the Hearns v Barkley fight, the first one.. Tommy thought that Iran was easy to hit and easy to stop so he came out firing but Barkley took a good punch and he kept hitting Hearns to the body. I would argue that Barkley was doing more damage than Hearns; Barkley was cut up and swelling but Hearns was losing his legs.

At 147 I think that Trinidad would stop Hearns. There is a story that Trinidad was a slow starter and I don't subscribe to that theory. There were fights where it took him a minute to get into a fight but that was generally against opponents that he may have taken less than seriously. He didn't start slowly against Vargas and he would not against Hearns. There is a difference between starting slowly and taking your time Trinidad generally took his time. He has enough early kos on his record to suggest that he could take his time right away when presented with an opportunity.
I see a Hearns v Jackson fight unfolding like Hearns v Cuevas because Hearns can reach him, he is taller and longer. I don't see Hearns coming out firing against Trinidad. He didn't against Leonard. Why?
