He broke his nose in the 3rd round and scored a knockdown. Start of the 3rd round scores were 20 - 18 for cristobal after the 3rd round was a 8 - 10 round for Stiverne the scores read 28 - 28 and from that point on Stiverne was never behind on the cards except for maybe the 10th round. YDKSAB:hi:
I'd give Stiverne a good chance to outclass Arreola again and then the WBC belt is within Don King's hands once again. That will rule out any chance of unification with Wlad.
Arreola SD Stiverne... maybe? Probably would have to pick Stiverne based on the decisiveness of the first fight.
Stiverne will win by beating Arreola again. Even if Arreola shows up in better shape it won't make a difference. Yes he was winning the fight up to walking into a huge shot but his work rate dropped from then on not because his nose was broken but because he knew he couldn't just walk in like he did early on or he'd find himself on the deck again. Also Arreola beat a Stiverne who also was not in the best shape. Stiverne was 10lbs heavier than when he beat Austin. So Arreola may very well get beaten even more decisively if Stiverne shows up in better shape than in their previous fight. I don't expect a unification anytime soon. King will protect his champion from Wlad unless he thinks Wlad is ready to be taken or if he can get options on Wlad's future fights.
For the sake of looking better in history books it should be Arreola. Here's hoping for a unifiication with Wladimir in July/August.
Titles might not mean what they once did but holding all four is not to be sniffed at. You sound like your regurgitating some Floyd. Show me one fighter who has made BIG money without holding a belt. There are none. Now...wouldn't that insinuate that the belt does in fact help to make the fighter?
Arreola beats Stiverne, then Wilder by early KO. Has a couple more successful defences, becomes star. Wlad meanwhile beats Leapai, Pulev in 14' and some random no hoper in early 15'. Unification bout late in 2015.
