Klondike did aswell, does that make him better than Langford? Choynski knocked out an early version of Johnson before he was even a matured-heavyweight. Langford wasn't even his 'heavyweight' self against Johnson, he got outweighed by about 30lbs. Langford is both a better heavyweight than Choynski and a better fighter P4P.

Conventional wisdom says Quarry, but I lean towards Langford. The difference is that Quarry indeed did fight for the title but came up short. It's well known that Langford was deserving of a title against Jack Johnson though. Granted Johnson did have a win over Langford, but that was still years before Johnson won the title and Langford was clearly the #1 contender.

After Langford and Quarry, I think Ike, Tua, Shavers, Ruddock and Cooney are up there.

    1) Langford
    2) Tua
    3) Wills

I don't agree with Shavers, barely top 10 imo. But he was the harderst puncher never to win a HW 'world championship' and the hardest hitter ever. (although the recent poll Foreman ended above him for some strange reason).

Head to Head and in shape and motivated Tim was great, but he never was consistent.

How the **** is Tua better than Wills?

The most over-rated fighter in HW history. Yes, more so than people over-rate Tyson, Dempsey, Vitali and even Ike.
