pac should be given credit for systematically breaking down erik in that second fight to eventually score a 10th round TKO, erik's first ever KO loss. pac went to the body more in the early rounds thus giving away some of those rounds in the process but it paid dividends in the latter rounds.

erik controlled the first fight w/ his effective jab. but pac to his credit was able to make adjustments in the second fight by throwing a strong right hook counter over erik's jab. this discouraged erik from throwing his jab more so he wasn't able to dictate the tempo of the second fight unlike the first.

so, over-all if you look at pac's record, his best wins were KOs against sasakul, ledwaba, the first barrera fight and the second morales fight. even before barrera in 2003, pac was already a 2-weight and one-time lineal champ. therefore, when comparing his resume to those of the other current top 10 p4p fighters, you will objectively see that he fully deserves his place within boxing's top elite p4p fighters.

Who the #@*^$ has Pacquiao ever beat?..

If this question is about Bobby Pacquiao...
    A: Nobody of importance

If this question is about Manny Pacquiao...
A: Go get HBO, Showtime & ESPN. Rent or buy yourself a library of boxing DVDs. Do some homework and report back to us in a year. Good Luck and welcome to the wonderful world of boxing. There's so much for you to learn!

That is true...many of the PAC fans are delusional, but on the same token....many of the detractors are just nuts by saying he's not good or he's just plain lucky. PAC is just a great fighter with decent boxing skills and a **** load of talent.

    Chimba,

With all due respect, Fighter of the Year 2006 was not voted by mearly Filipino sports writers and fans. It was voted by RING MAGAZINE. A highly respectable institution..

    cheers!

Before the Juarez fight JMM notable "achievements"

Draw with Pac (thanks to that judge who gave him a gift) - even that is an achievement :yep
Lose to John (but got 30K as consolation) - good or bad it is still publicity :hey
Close win against old washed up MAB (kissed the canvas)

Should have fought guzman but instead opted to fight a guy who already lost twice to MAB who he already beaten.
