First off, Khan stays at 140 as long as a Garcia rematch is in play. Second, he's only had what, 8 weeks or so with Virgil Hunter? Khan needs to take at least one or two more tuneup fights, preferably against Top 15 opposition with more power than Molina showed tonight. Khan himself says he still has so much to learn, and learning it is one thing, executing it in a real fight is another. So, 1-2 more gradual buildup tuneups, then Garcia if Khan insists, or otherwise Peterson (if he submits to Donaire style drug testing).

He should have a couple or at least 1 more practice fight against a better opponent

Garcia and Matthyse are the real danger men for khan at 140. Obviously matthyse brings nothing to the table except extreme pain and hurt. so might as well go with Garcia, may need one more ticking over fight while that happens which will also help khans new training.

I would guess another tune up and at a similar date to Garcia so he can stay aligned with Garcia's timeline

I agree. Stay the **** away from Garcia, Peterson, Matthysse, etc. Another tune-up against a beatable opponent to get one more camp with Virgil, and then jump back in with those guys. Because he still made mistakes tonight that would have cost him if he was in with more dangerous hitters.

Right on! He made mistakes leaving himself open with careless combos and the top dogs will make him pay for it. But I felt he realized those mistakes as he made them and controlled himself.

Damn, I would really like a Khan/Olusegun! :bbb Great match up. But if GBP is thinking of doing a Lopez/Khan it would also be a good fight. If someone here has tweeter, let GBP know that we need Ajose back, that is one tough ****er!
