Both Valuev's & Chagaev's last bouts are listed as being for the WBA Heavyweight Title. No mention of interim titles.

When Chagaev was injured, King and Sauerland put pressure on the WBA the strip Chagaev and let Valuev fight for the vacant belt, which is an absulute joke. It's was the very situation the 'interim' **** was created (if the champ is not available to fight, due to injury or anything else). So Holyfield I mean Valuev should be the interim champion. But not in Don King's world. So to get away without a lawsuit, WBA named Chagaev something similar to 'champion is recess' or ****, and now he is the mandatory to face Valuev, the 'real WBA champ' or call it whatever you like. Valuev is the ultimate joke of the heavyweight division, but winning 10 rounds against him is not enough lately. It was 4 round cheat back in the Donald and Ruiz days, but now it's a free world title and 10 round cheat.

So, currently there are two WBA HW champions.

Two champs = 4 sanctioning fees for the fighters and challengers = more money for WhollyBogusAssholes.

It's like in Australia that Mundine is fighting Shannan Taylor fo the the WBA International Middle World Title.

I don't have a problem with the current situation at all as all those interim / recess / super / etc.- champs lead to more 12 rounds of HW boxing events broadcasted live in german free TV!
For me as the average casual fan it adds drama if a belt is on the line!

Much like how divorced parents can both still be in the life of their a child, Chagaev and Valuev have joint custody of the WBA title.

I think the way they handled all this is rediculous, but maybe once Chagaev and Valuev rematch, it'll be cleared up..........Assuming we can get through that snoozefest without developing a sleep disorder.

Chagaev wants to fight Valuev soon. So, maybe they can settle this thing. Let's hope Chagaev doesn't get hurt again!:patsch

Chagaev is the REAL WBA champ until beaten. End of discussion. Valuev is absolutely nothing to do with being a champion. At best he can be considered number 1 contender.

If Chavaev & Valuev each fight a Klitschko they would then both become Super champions and thus leave the standard WBA belt vacant.

John Ruiz may get another 'shot'

thats why i think there should only be 2 world championships per division ibf and wbc
cause we all know how **** the Warren Boxing Oraganization is and the Wholly Bogus Assholes are allways at it like cabalero unified the 122lb titles they elevated him up to super champion or some **** like that and now bernard dunne is fighting ricardo cordoba for the regular title

    its ****ing ridiculous

WBO has the most number of recognized regional champions..too many sanctioning fees
