Groves knocks Smith out in 8 rounds IMO.

This could be the banana skin for Groves if he feels he has to match/beat what Degale did against Smith. I think it's 100% what he shouldn't do no matter how tempting it is. I think Groves has a brain though and will have a game plan to win and to win by his own tactics regardless of Degales victory.
Yeah he has to impress but if thats by a 1st round bang out or an 11th round stoppage then so be it.

Groves isnt world class but can improve he is a young fighter stil llearning so I dont think you can say he will never be world class, I think he will become world class.

He should deal with Paul Smith comfortably I see it as a keeping busy fight rather than anything else...

Groves is not in his prime, when you look at Froch or Calzaghe prime is likely to be late 20'searly thirties.

I'll tell you what though his brother's better not turn up or they will all be crying!

  6. The thing with groves is that he has got a brain. Degale was telling him constantly in the build up "he'd better cone to fight me" and all that ****. Degale gave the game away to groves from the very beginning. All groves adjusted was not standing in the centre of the ring and trading and generally frustrating degale.
Groves v smith will be a different fight. Degale isn't used to chasing the game and pressuring, so groves to a point was let off the hook in that fight. Smith is a pressure fighter. He has got a good chin, and his variety seems to be returning. Once groves has the heat on from someone putting pressure on, he will trade. This then IMO turns the fight into a bit of a close quarters shoot out. The winner will be the person who waits the least amount of time. Too much posturing by either guy will be the downfall.
    It's an interesting fight.
But smigga can win this, as he might not have one punch ko power against a super muddle, but he has enough power to get sone respect. Groves has shown some vulnerability and smith has only ever been put down once as a pro, and stopped in his feet once.
I think smiths pressure can get to groves tge same way kenny Anderson did, except smith will have had a proper training camp and notice.

As a side line, I would much prefer smigga to be middleweight, but when opportunity knocks .....

Groves has shown some vulnerability but was able to carry on and win on each occassion! He wil lhave learnt from previous fights and I reckon will be too good for Smith..

Problem for Smith is he hasnt fought anyone decent enough over his 30 odd fights, Groves has probably fought better harder opposition in his 13.

  8. I think sometimes smiths opponents could have been better.

You can't tell me beating the likes of a washed up adamu is any better than anything smith has faced?

What people do forget with smith, probably with the exception of the bendall fight where he was robbed, anyone he was expected to beat has has done so either by ko or points clearly. You can't ask more than that. He fights who's put in front of him. That side of business is down to fishy and Dean Powell!

Yes Adamu is probably better than most of Smith's opponets and Kenny Anderson definately is...Groves beat Samuels in his 3rd fight..Smith fought him in his 31st...after 30 fights you should be looking for progressing past British level, if he isnt ranked highly in EBU or World rankings then he wont get fights..unless Fwank can fix it.

The guy called Selby a "classless ****" after he beat Smith. Clearly he is a **** sucker of the smiths so his opinion is not to be taken seriously.

It really was a poor poor post indeed.
