Not sure what you were watching...Floyd tee'd off on Ortiz in the beggining of the first round and beat the **** out of him...Ortiz tried to "box" and move a bit, and Floyd just squared up and started hitting him with punch after punch.

It was more one sided than the first 4 rounds of Mayweather Mosley man...you will find that more people will agree with me then you on this.

  2. cotto is definitely smarter than ortiz. i think he'll do better than victor, but he still wont win.

Victor is a "tree bro." The ******* literally admitted it.

    Sounds about right.:yep

Cotto is a better boxer, and a better (if not necessarily harder) puncher than Ortiz. He's way more versatile and in terms of ring intelligence he's light years of "Or-treez". Mayweather took the play away from Victor in the opening seconds of the fight. I don't think it'll be as easy for him to do the same thing against Cotto, simply because MAC has more tools at his disposal and Mayweather damned well knows it. :deal

Mayweather should be able to establish a groove after a while and carve out what I also think will be a clear UD, but Cotto will make him work for it every step of the way, and will almost be able to keep his head on straight, as opposed to losing it completely like Victor when things start to go against him.

Ortiz was in the fight... He was doing well! He would of got to Floyd if the fight didn't end on a Sucker Punch! Void is a cheap ***** and he won Via Sucker Punches! It's not Victors fault!

Ortiz's left was landing in alot faster than Mayweather had expected... that would have been a key punch throught the fight.

    Cotto doesnt have comparable speed

I didn't pay for the fight, but when I heard that Ortiz walked to the ring first then I knew that Mayweather was sure to win. Ortiz lost that fight before he stepped in the ring. No real champion would let an opponent punk him like that!

This will be a classic, back and forth, toe to toe battle between two, elite, HOF caliber fighters. I can't wait until next Saturday.

    Yes.

I'm currently expecting Floyd to be the one to press the action early on and Cotto to play the role as 'the mover.' The timing of Miguel's jab along with the emergence of a right hand presence I think will surprise many and be the focal elements that will win him the majority of the early rounds.

Cheap talk. Cotto is a much more experienced fighter than Ortiz and even though there are similarities physically, the boxing approach is completely different. Cotto went from pure body snatcher to boxer-puncher who can take a 154 pounder due to his upper-body strength exibited from his days as 140 pounds WBO belt holder. Cotto will not charge even though he will not stand in front of Floyd, he will dig downstairs or simply lead left hook brutally and that strength will make Floyd back off. It's not like Ortiz pushing and headbutting Floyd and punching him against the ropes in close... Of course, Cotto wins rounds here.
