The last left hook to the body was a legit shot.

He was getting slower and the damage was accumulating. Accumulating damage is Cotto's best weapon. I think he would have stopped him from 11-12.

Having re-watched, I think he would make it.

the Road Runner may have made it no doubt, just glad he slipped a few times which allowed Cotto to end it sooner and spare us all the agony of watching that game of cat and mouse any longer

    Well done Cotto.

He wasn't going to make it to the final bell, Manny Steward would have never allowed that to happen.

I think the pattern of the fight before the injury, says that he would make it. However, the fight was getting to that stage where Foreman needed to press forward more and Cotto typically turns it on. Foreman's movement was hindered but I think he would have chosen to fight on the front foot more often, anyway, after being outboxed and being unable to win on points. He had no option and because of the heart he showed in continuining, I think he would have rolled the dice on trying to win by being more aggressive too.

And like I said, Cotto would have become more aggressive too. That's the way he fights and knowing he had the fight won, his attacking style and desire to put on a show, would have meant he would have gone for it too.

I see the fight turning into a brawl and, regardless of his injury, that's a fight Foreman gets stopped in.

Would that body shot land if Foreman can move?

no way, he just couldnt move anymore

Yuri has excellent stamina and getting stronger in the later rounds as Cotto fades......

He was not getting slowed down and his game plan was to step it up in the second part of the fight

And Foreman has great chin as we all seen

Yuri was getting CLOBBERED...his face was swelling up and his movement was getting slower from the damage Cotto was enforcing on him.

The leg injury didnt make a difference, it only ended the fight short which could of been more of a damaging outcome for Foreman.

I think he would have made it to the end. He would still have lost a UD, but he was showing a good ability to move around the ring.
