He could beat him but at present it's unlikely. The same thing i would say about any puncher in the division.
lol. do people think wlad is just gonna stand in front of haye like enzo and get cracked? how about analyzing defense, foot movement, and ring generalship too and not just power. haye attacks in a straight line and would be easy to avoid for wlad. wlad also ko power in both fists. both have fragile chins but Haye's might be glass at hw. wlad has proven stamina at hw. haye's had issues here in the past here. this is the biggest question i have about haye. Can he go into the later rounds with at 220+? now if haye pressure wlad hard early, he could get lit up. Peter and Brewster both tried for the early ko and got hammered. can haye take those shots? right now id make a big favorite. Classly Wlad tko 6 Mr. Haye :yep
I think it's a chance, whether or not I'd favour it. I think the fact that there might be a rivarly worth watching in the heavyweight division is interesting, though.
Depends when he fights him... if he took him on for his next fight, then he'd be exposed. If you give him a couple of fights against heavy hitters, then I can see him doing ok. He needs to realise that he can't go walking around the ring with his hands that low down against people who could take his head clean off.
I put 50/50 but is more like 65/35 in favour of Wlad. Wlad will be dealing with a guy who has the poteintal to hit him more than any fighter has in the past. But 35% is not a very slim chance.
haye's got the perverable puncher's chance. no doubt he's a great athlete. he's got the power to stop most hws but the problem is wlad makes it very difficult for his opponent to land that big shot. size, jab, foot movement.... the last time any fighter landed a meaningful punch on wlad early was sanders. wlad has improved drastically defensively since then. haye thows a lot of those roundhouse punches too. those are gonna be hard to land. he seems to land the straight right when his opponent is stationary and right in front of him. i have to look at his jab a bit more. he's got to hope wlad slows down late in the fight and his chin and stamina holds up. wlad can become vulnerable late in the fight but haye has to make it there. now, if wlad fights too cautiously like he did against Sultan, he gives Haye a chance to hang around. Wlad should fight like he did against Brewster II and Byrd II. Lots of movement and tons of jabs which will slow Haye down making him a very stationary target. Then, he can tee off. Haye has no answer for that. Nothing i've seen from him makes me think otherwise. Haye's got to prove me wrong by beating top ranked hws. Haye's and fans' delusional banter is not enough and is more comical than anything else i think a lot of people like Haye's in-ring style and outlandish personality using that as their basis to pick which is nonsense. Excitement doesnt always mean better quality as his fanboys will soon find out :yep
Wlad can be knocked out, that is a fact. haye has enough fire power and enough speed to do the job. hayes chin is the only problem he will have at heavyweight - albeit a big problem. Wlad is not a dominant champion, he is simply the best of am poor bunch, haye has enough to beat him, def and exciting match to look forward to.
Slim chance, but stylistically, he matches up well against Wladimir, for the first 5/6 rounds anyway. Speed/power, and Wladimir, is like oil and water. He might well do a Sanders. And as long as Haye is standing, which might not be very long in fairness, but as long as he is standing he has the speed and skills to land on Wladimir, and the power to spark him. I think in many ways, he has the best chance of any HW to beat Wlad. He has the power to make Wlad fall, and the speed and offensive skills to land his shots. What do guys like Chagaev, Povetkin etc have? skills I suppose, and good defense, but not the power to really trouble Wlad, and not the skills to outpoint the far bigger man. The more I think about this fight, the more I feel Haye has a good chance. If his stamina improves at HW, his chances increse considerably.
The Wlad of recent has been predictable and careful, much like the Ruiz of 5 years ago. Abotut he only thing he has over Haye is his size and power, much like Ruiz's 2 advantages over Jones. Haye is slicka nd quick, can move and slip punches very, very well - perhaps as well at HW as Jones did. It shouldn't be to difficult for Haye to slip Wlads perdictable jab-and-grab and pop-shot his way to a wide UD, assuming he doesn't get caught along the way.
i voted for 50 50 because i do believe he can beat wlad, just not right now if he goes on with him now i think it will be a horrible surprise for haye, but give him 3 or 4 fights and yes i think he can:nut
Haye thinks he's better than Evander Holyfield. I'm not on board with that. His biggest accomplishment to date is defeating Mormeck. Frankly I think there's a lot of heavyweights worse than Klitschko that could accomplish knocking out Mormeck. I like his talent but I think it's a stretch to say he can defeat Klitschko.
wide UD over Klitschko???? HAHAHAHAHAHA this is just getting funnier and funnier I can imagine Haye landing a big shot and knocking Klitschko out but a wide UD.... No one ever outboxed Klitschko and Haye sure doesn't have the skills to do so....
