be fair he certainly has the skills, but i think his stamina needs proving first, wlad has an exceptional jab though so ....

did u see the sam peter fight or brewster rematch? against peter, he was boxing and moving the whole fight and threw well over 500 punches and landed more than 200. he had enough juice left to put peter on ***** street twice in the last round too.

against brewster in the rematch, he averaged 72 punches per round while moving. he showed 0 signs of fatigue.

his stamina is excellent for a man his size. i believe this, not his chin, is haye's biggest question mark as hw.

wlad understands his limitations very well and fights accordingly. he feautures his jab now while he used to throw far more power shots which lead directly to his losses against Brewster and Purrity.

There's a difference between just having boxing skills and having the skills enough to outbox Klitschko....

He has had 1 fight at heavyweight (vs Bonin) which took place before the Mormek fight.

Wlad will lose again and it will be against somebody we do not expect him to lose to. It will not be Haye. Wlad would destroy Haye in brutal fashion. I bet Wlad could knock Hay down with a jab. Are people that desperate for a dominant Heavyweight that they are pumping up Haye to be the next big thing?

Fair enough. He beat a Pole with a padded record. Let's see him against someone with a pulse.

I think you horrifically overrate Wlad. I would favour him to win but odds are, when up against a flashy puncher who by the time Wlad fights will most likly have sparked out two decent HW's and thinking that Manny wont have him on a majorly defensive gameplan I think is pretty naive.

Odds are if/when the do fight it would be a jab/clinch afair. If he was to elect to box Haye from the outside as you suggest then he would be at the risk of facing a fighter with a very real handspeed advantage and the power to hurt Wlad. It would not be in his best intrests in terms of winning.

I think you underrate wlad but we'll see over the next year who is right.

But Wlad's handspeed is excellent for a hw btw. Most of his opponents state how surprised they were about quick his hands are...ie Byrd, Sultan, Brewster

I picked the 50/50 option, but I'd call it 60/40 for Wlad.

Haye is the one with the most chances of beating Wlad today, IMO, but he surelly would have to show a different style to the one he used against Macca.

Wlad's defensive skills have improved considerably and that's what is giving him the edge for this point, together with his reliable jab.

In fact, Haye and Wlad just had dinner together, it's highly likely that a future fight is already agreed and now Haye is in charge of getting the public's attention to it.

I agree Bonin wasn't a tough test but I'm sure he will fight good opposition in his next few fights.

As I said I would favour Wlad. Also you fancy linking the Sultan saying he was surprised how fast Wlad's hands were?

Haye has an advantage in handspeed, he has a pretty big advantage against cruisers in that department, he will have that advantage, so he will have the potential to hit Wlad more often than any other fighter ever has. He is not at a great disparity in height or reach either. Height as demostrated in the video and their reach is the same or pretty much.

Wlad would most likley KO Haye if he was aggresive and stuck behind the jab, and countering that Haye will most likely put Wlad in trouble if he connected with a big right hand early.

I think that if they both hand iron chin's Wlad would probably win. But it is not so much Wlad's dodgy chin that is the problem, rather the fact that he does not cope well when he is hurt.

All that being said, Haye's chin could improve at HW a la Cotto or his chin could stay the same but be up against bigger punchers, which would spell disaster.

If Haye's chin improve's Wlad is in a world of trouble. If it gets worse then Haye is fooked. If it say's the same relitve to the punchers he is facing (which I think it will) then I would favour Wlad slightly, but he is not a mentally strong fighter when he is in the ring, which in my eyes is more problematic than his chin issues.

Oh, Haye is definitely a good fighter and a puncher. We know punchers can trouble Wlad. No one is going to outpoint Klitschko. Haye probably has the power to do the job, it's whether he can deliver and whether he can past Wlad's size, his jab and his experience. It would be interesting on the night, that's for sure. Neither guy seemingly has the best chin. I would make it 70-30 in favour of Wlad at the moment.

I wouldn't know how to vote for this one...I give David Haye a good chance of winning, but not great, and not really 50/50. I would say he may be right when he said he's got the best chance of beating Wladmir...but he really does have to wait in line. Povetkin just went through a tournament to earn a shot, Haye cannot skip the line because he was Cruiserweight champ...It took Holyfield 2 years at heavyweight to get a shot at Douglas, Haye wants a shot in 2 months...not gonna happen.

Great chance. Wlad is very fragile for a big man, and Haye is not only a serious banger, but fast and skilful with it. I've been predicting Haye will be the saviour of the HW division for some time now.
