I do. So do I. And I. Excuse me for that, for I, and I, and I am clinically insane.

I was a big fan of Herol's. He was one of our most talented fighters never to have won a world title. There was something lacking though, that prevented him from making the move from outstanding contender to championship status. Maybe a psychological factor.

I just cannot envisage him beating even the 1987 shopworn version of Hagler.

Would have made Hagler look bad for maybe 6 or 7 rounds before Hagler wore him down and maybe stopped him around the 10th round..

    No one with brain.

Even an old Leonard was 5x the fighter Graham was.

Hagler would have broken Graham down, and destroyed him.

In 1987, yeah, why not ?

Hagler managed to lose to a blown-up welterweight who had one real fight in the last 5 years, and would never look impressive against anyone decent again.

Hagler last looked good with Hearns. Then Hagler took off a year and fought Mugabi rusty and looked bad, waited another year and fought Ray. It is probably a good idea Hagler retired after his fight with Ray because somebody like maybe Olajide or Tate could have beaten the old rusty Hagler and it would have hurt his legacy. But a 1985 Hagler beats Olajide,Tate or Graham no problem.

Hagler didn't really face anyone like the unorthodox Graham. The fact people are saying 'would give him fits' speaks volumes for Graham's boxing skills. Graham would be 1 of the quickest and best defensive fighters Hagler faced alongside Leonard and Duran and we saw the trouble Hagler had with such a combination of those attributes

The contention that Hagler would stop Graham late I don't really agree with, he couldn't wear down the smaller Duran or Leonard. McCallum couldn't stop Graham late either.

I see this as a close fight that could go either way prime or not, I'd give Hagler the edge but I'd still argue that Graham was unlucky in being both avoided and facing a Murderer's Row quality of challenges when he did get his shot. Kalambay and McCallum are both better middleweights than anyone Hagler faced, although perhaps Leonard was on that level as MW too

Graham would stand a chance only with the 1986-87 version of Hagler.
