AJ was gassed out after 2 rounds against Whyte remember. Fighting someone of Wlad's experience is a massive step up, genuine 50/50 for me. Wlad still looked relatively fresh in 12 round v Fury and started landing when he let his right hand go.

I think this is a risky fight that I would not be taking if I was AJs manager.

The key point in this fight is that Wlad until he came up against Fury, was an undisputed and undefeated HW champion of the world for 10 years.

Now in my book that kind of means something. Note: Lewis managed the same dominant reign without losing for only 5 years.

There is the argument that Wlad is now "old overnight" and gunshy, based on two poor performances.

However I want to point AJs severe lack of experience, and his style which is nothing like Furys which proved to be the key that unlocks Wlads door.

I would favour Wlad to get a KO win in the match. I would see it playing out like his fight against Pulev. The last impressive win he had before fighting Jennings.

Haha good points. These prats probably think Eddie Hearn should be doing what Al Haymon is doing- matching his fighters once a year in a mismatch which nobody wants to see.

    Get out of here with Crolla-Linares, Joshua-Klitschko, Brook-GGG, bring on more Broner-Theophane, Garcia-Salka, Wilder-Mlolina, Stevenson-Willams

People say Wlad is finished but I just think Fury's tactics were perfect in Germany and his movement completely bamboozled him. Wlad looked scared to let his hands go because he knew he he'd be eating shots from Fury's longer reach straight away.
Joshua is certainly incapable of boxing in the manner Fury did, height and reach would be exactly the same so there's another disadvantage gone for Klitschko. If Joshua looks for the ko early, Wlad is more than clever enough to get through the first few rounds and then what? There are still big questions over AJ's engine and by this point the Dr Steelhammer jab will be in full flow and that right hand would be coming right through the middle. Let's not forget the only punch Joshua has taken in his whole career had him one more clean shot away from disaster. This was against Whyte who's power is now in question after successive fights of landing bombs and not looking like knocking the opponents out.
I'd guess that Klitschko was rubbing his hands when Fury pulled out because he would have lost again against someone who not many cared about whereas now he has the opportunity to beat everybody's hero and earn more money.
Very interesting fight. Klitschko rounds 7-10.

If Wlad was gun shy against Fury who let's face it, isn't one of the divisions big hitters then I think he's going to have real problems at age 40 with Joshua. Age and the standard of heavyweight boxing contender improving might see Wlad go out with two contrasting yet equally humbling losses.

What would a KO loss do for his legacy here?

If Wlad still has a jab he will win this.

50/50 fight for me, as someone pointed out earlier Wlad still looked like he had plenty left in the tank in round 12 against Fury so I don't buy this nonsense that he got old overnight, he was simply outboxed by a bigger man and couldn't find an answer in the Fury fight.

AJ's lack of lateral movement is a concern for me, Wlad is a great mover and AJ is at his best when he gets his opponents against the ropes which wont be easy to do against someone like Wlad.

I think Joshua wins 7 rd stoppage.. Anyway hasn't there been people on here questioning AJ and his opponents for quite awhile? **** it lets see what he's made of.. I think it will be a better more entertaining fight than when Fury the lard ass fought VK and spoiled the fight by holding on like a fat overweight walruss trying to mate

Wlad will KO him with a left hook, which AJ can't defend.

Of course he looked fresh. He threw about 10 punches per round for the previous 11.

AJ would also be fresh as a daisy if he fought a fight where both fighters just stand around not throwing any punches.

Either Wlad wears Joshua down or Joshua ends it early.

I think the reason why Hearn didn't fancy Pulev for Joshua is his stamina and his jab.
