who thinks oleg will beat peter??????

A younger Oleg could have.

 

Peter could get disqualified for hitting behind the head, or pulling a few of those infamous double punches like the one he gave Toney in their first fight :bbb.

 

Oleg is gonna win. The peter camp is convinced that oleg has a glass jaw and all sammy has to do is tap it and oleg is gonna fall. While the glass jaw theory has already been established, they are overlooking olegs skills. Sam is going for the knockout punch, oleg is gonna box. Sam will tire trying to find the KO punch and oleg will break him down. Many people seem to overlook olegs skills,heart and experience.

Sam will be better conditioned then rahman noodles but once he sees oleg still on his feet past the 6th round he will get a bit disenchanted and start to throw wide punches then hold.

Peter has been dicked around by the powers that be and one would suggest that should add fuel to his fire to bomb out maskaev in 3, which he will try and do. Peter thinks he has it in the bag but he will loose a 12 round decision.

Oleg retains his title.

 

I think Oleg can win even with a k.o. Peter is the most overrated Heavyweight.
But that doesn't matter Vitali will k.o. the winner anyway 2 or 3 months later.:rasta

 

Good post brisback, I totally agree. I give Oleg a bigger chance at winning v Peter. My final prediction:

Oleg MD Peter.

 

I'll be cheering for Oleg myself..he's kind of like that kid that the schoolyard bullies all try to pick on.

This is not to be confused with who I think will win. I just hope Oleg pulls it out. And with Peter getting rocked by Wlad in the 12th..maybe..just maybe Oleg throws a sledgehammer of a shot and catches him. I can hope can't I?

 

maskaev should be happy if he survives 12 rounds, it would be a moral victory for him.. go peter kick that russian

 

I think he has a chance. He has a ton more ability and experience.
Also has a very strong punch in his own right. If he can weather the early storm and box effectively I think he can get a decision. Possibly a late tko ko... but a longshot. In his fight with Rahman he did well down the stretch but appeared fatigued himself the last few rounds. I hope he has a good camp and the stamina is there.

 

I would pick Oleg if he could avoid Peter's winging shots for 12 rounds. But he won't and while he'll be able to take a few, Peter will eventually knock him out.

 

I think Oleg has a very good chance at beating Peter.

But he is older, and can be taken out. If I had to lay odds, I'd say somewhere between 35-40% Oleg wins.

 

Oleg will get knocked out. I wish it were the other way, but it won't be.

Somebody said on the main board that Peter is 300+ these days, and from the press conf. photos, he looks it.

If that's true, Oleg's chances have just risen dramatically. Not only could he win, he could KO/TKO Peter if Peter comes in too heavy.
