the fight against Toney was a bad idea, he looked good against JC but JC threw too many punches, I think he could beat Ramirez, shouldn't fight Adamek.

i dont think RJJ has any worries about his health because he can still box and if you left RJJ do his thing, whoever fights RJJ wont see that left hook comming...... game over man. game over.

:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Man, your post is so flawed, where do I begin?

1 = The fight against James Toney was a great idea and move, Toney is arguably an ATG. At the time Roy was p4p #1 & Toney was p4p #2, Roy made good money & showed that he was great by dominating Toney. Can you please explain how fighting James Toney was a bad idea?

2 = He looked good against CalZ? :rofl What fight were you watching? Roy looked good for a round & a half, and after that he was finished. His stamina, once again, was horrible and once again he showed that his legs and reflexes were gone. Even Stevie Wonder seen that RJJ looked bad.

3 = You don't think he has any worries about his health? Its not good for any athlete to take beatings like he did against CalZ, & CalZ was being nice, it could've been much worse. CalZ's hands are gone and his power isn't that great at LHW to begin with, but you seen he hurt RJJ. Can you imagine what a Cruiser with power would do to RJJ? I dont even wanna imagine.

4 = He can still box? That lets me know that you dont know RJJ. If you knew about him, you would know that his whole career, he's been successful because of excellent ring smarts, speed, reflexes, and power in both hands. He's never been a boxing technician.

5 = That left hook? Dude hit CalZ clean with that same hook and didn't even put CalZ to sleep, no way is he gonna put a cruiser to sleep!

No he doesn't...The RJJ of 6 years ago woulda crushed any LHW or CW today including Joe C..The RJJ of now isn't much!

Man who are you watching? RJJ is a legend but by no means should he step foot into a boxing ring other than to train anymore..His legacy is sealed and he won't go up higher in terms of ATG than what he's already at...I'd hate to see him end up like Tyson!:-(

This is what's going to happen. RJ is going to win his fight in March. He's going to go into delusional mode once again and think that he's on his way "back!". He's going to secure another semi-big fight and lose readily. And he might do this cycle a couple more times before he's really hurt.

Does ANYONE disagree with this prediction?

i agree.. he shouldn't even be fighting anymore. He is way past his prime, he should talk to evander holyfield too and get their head out of their ass. Why are they still fighting? It's not the 90's anymore.

I only think he has 1 more big fight, and thats Hopkins! After Hopkins embarrasses him, its over.

This is the type of fan that puts boxers in danger. FrochPascal, your stupidity is dangerous as it is people like you who gets excited about fights featuring shot fighters and so legitimizes old men taking risks that they should not be allowed to take.

A pretty good comeback?? That's just very weak boxing knowledge. He won two points decisions over two non top 10 ranked lhw's, one of whom has now retired (Prince Nobody) and one who was KO'd in 4 or 5 rounds by another non top 10 ranked prospect in his very next fight (Hanshaw), and then Roy failed to stop a blown-up welterweight who hadn't won a fight in about 4 years, and was rustier than the Titanic and almost as old (Trinidad).

Your insistence that he shouldn't "just quit" is dangerous and moronic. The man wouldn't be "just quitting", he would be choosing to retire because he has had a glorious career and now it is over. Actually, it should have been over years and years ago, there's no way Roy Jones should have been knocked out cold by someone like Glen Johnson, dominated over 2 fights by someone like Antonio Tarver, and humiliated by someone like Joe Calzaghe. His trainers and his management should have seen that he was shot at the same time as we, his true fans, could see it and they should then have acted to prevent these indignities from befalling one of the greatest talents in boxing history.

What does it make him if he retires now? It makes him an ATG legend that hung around too long as it is.

What does it make him if he goes up to cruiserweight? A complete imbecile who will get brutally knocked out cold again and possibly very badly hurt.

Let him go for ****'s sake.

Great post. These ppl are out of their minds if they think RJJ looked good against CalZ. I just ripped a dude on page 2 for trying to say he should come back. Man, he beat 2 nobodies and couldn't even stop a rusty Trinidad.

If he wants to die in the ring, by all mean he should go ahead and do it, if that is his deathwish
