he should just retire, I don't want to see him fight on and take needless risks whilst this far past it.

yeah yeah yeah.... everyone was saying the same thing about Bhop after the JC fight.

RJJ is going to come back and kick ass in 4 big fights.

i recon he could beat Valuev even now.

Roy would get KTFO by anyone in the top 30 at 200 lbs.

Fragomeni can't punch and Roy would have his best chance against him. Any of the others, I'd probably agree with you.

Its too late for him to win any world titles now, I think he shouldve gone to cruiser instead of going back to 175 but what is done is done.

All cruiser titlist KO roy at this stage.

whos the best cruiser in people's eyes nowadays? adamek right? rjj is still a name at this point and would probably draw good coin. lets say jumps up and fights adamek, roy seriously risks getting brutally ko'ed at this point.

No way. What makes you think that tho?

    Fragomeni would knock him out.

The man's life is boxing. It's not easy to walk away from your life's passion. His health is probably an afterthought in his mind. Who are we to say when it's time for Roy to retire? He's not the pfp #1 fighter anymore, so he's no good to anyone? If the man still feels he has something left to prove, I think he should get the chance to prove it. He wants to make the most of his time as a professional athlete and leave with no regrets.

Cruiserweight might be a more comfortable weight with more manageable fights for him. I think that he still has the ability to win a title in another division. He's not as shot as many would like you to believe. He's not punch-drunk, his speed is still really good, and he can still go 12 solid rounds. Everyone said that Hopkins was shot after his fight with Calzhage. Roy was impressive in his fight last year with Tito, and Tito was game. Mosley had a similar crossroads fight with Mayorga last year. People wrote him off, but look at what he accomplished this past Saturday.

People try so hard to diminish Calzhage, that they completely write off Roy, but the man is one of the best fighters in the world and there's no shame in losing to him. Judging by some of the accounts of their fight on here, it was a complete blowout by Calzhage, when that really isn't the case. Roy showed heart and brought what he could to a southpaw with a difficult, high pressure style, and endless endurance. The top guys at Cruiser aren't as much of a stylistic issue. I'd give Roy a chance against any of them. If he wants to fight, I say let him fight!
