Gans’ right hand counter was money against Nelson, as was Benny Leonard’s right hand against Tendler.

And you know which other fighter that was known for his laser right hand whose right hand got compared to both Gans AND Leonard? That’s right, John L. GOATllivan himself

Hearns, Louis and Arguello slap me straight in the face when it comes to straight right hands. Hearns and his straight right hand single handedly (see what i did there?) virtually eliminated Duran's mandible from ATG chin discussions. All three of these guys can and did turn or end fights with a single right hand.

There's dozens i like but the Wilfredo Gomez' dead straight right hand was also a thing of beauty, and destruction. Moving down a little Lennox Lewis, Danny Lopez and Saad had sweet right hands down the pipe.

I also have to pay tribute to the "Hit Man's" right hand--that KO of Duran might have been the greatest single punch I've seen!

Ali had the best lead straight right hand i have ever seen. The right hand leads he hit Foreman with weren't just fast but also contained a lot of power. Ali's right hand lead was repeatedly snapping Foreman's head back.

His style always interested me. It seemed just a little odd, sort of a 60s evolutionary side road. I hear his father (another boxer) taught him, so presumably there's some separation between whatever he was learning from his family, and the boxing mainstream.

Lower weight wise Michael Carbajal, Ricardo Lopez, and Yuri Arbachakov threw some picture perfect right hands reminiscent to Arguello and Louis.

Mike "Straight Right Handy Hand Shandy" McCoy has to be up there. Niche welterweight fan base, from the twenties. He won a solid 700 NWS decisions. He lost 1300 NWS decisions but he still won more times than someone like a Lomachenko, who was not even a welterweight but even smaller.

His rock 'em sock 'em fight with Jack "Only One Hand" O'Leary was a classic exchange of right hands.

    Great newspaper knockout.

"Only One Hand" O'Leary was a southpaw.
