    let me think

    an athlete who works for 3 minutes with 1 minute rest in many occasions an all out war for 12 round or someone who is on the pitch for 30 seconds, runs 20 yards, te ball hits the floor then they get replaced by another part of the team

    Impossible question...

    There were elite football players (Brazillian) Ronaldo who did absolutely nothing and there are elite boxers (like '88 Tyson) who don't train at all.

    Others train their butts off...

    Entirely depends on the individual. There are MLB players who go through insane workouts and yet prime James Toney really only focused on sparring. I think there are many atheletes (even non proffessional) who push themselves every bit as hard as say Mayweather or Pacquiao.

    i marked "even" beause as some said it totally depends on the individual.

    however, one is training to FIGHT another person, the other is not so who would train harder in that situation?

    Floyd may not even be the hardest trainer in boxing, let alone the whole of sports.

    Speaking from experience...we have alotta professional footie players who train with us and struggle to keep up.

    Iv also realised that we have waaay better work methods in training than these footie players

    Boxing

    Having trained for both sports, The fitness levels are not even close.

    Its adifferant kind of fitness for each one, however to achieve the fitness levels to be an elite boxer, is harder than for football

    even if you ask me. soccer players might get the edge because there is no time outs at all, to 2 halfs of 45 minutes each.

    A guy like Floyd Mayweather trains much more intensively than a footballer has to, but by the same token a guy like Floyd Mayweather only trains intensively for 6-12 weeks every 18 months, whereas a footballer trains all year round.

    Two different types of training.

    Probably the hardest working athletes are boxers/MMA fighters who fight very regularly, like 3 or more times a year, or tennis players who have to train and play so so often.

    Some poster called Popkins claimed Christiano ronaldo trains just as hard as floyd if not more so. :lol:

    I have seen ronaldo as well as the rest of the manchester united squad train live, and it is nothing compared to an elite training from boxers like pac or floyd.
