I was just watching a few clips of Mayweather training and he seems to train pretty hard. I also remember watching 24/7 and he would go into the gym at all kinds of hours + I believe he's pretty much in shape all year round. Pac is also a beast according to the shows and clips I've seen of him training. Not sure how much he trains when he's not fighting. I remember watching an episode of 24/7 when I think Arum said that when most people are finishing up their training for the day, Pac is just getting started. So who trains harder? Seems like thats one thing they both have in common both like to train to the max and it pays shows greatly in the ring. I wish this fight would get made. But after listening to Floyd Sr Im thinking its not going to happen!
It seems that Pac trains harder since he is at some kind of disadvantage all the time. I believe Floyd is more disciplined though.
Yea.. he constantly is fighting new sparring partners too... his last couple were his baby's mama and a security guard.:good
Don't forget his kid. I think he wanted drug testing first but his kid told him 21days cutoff date and Floyd said no fight.
At this level (which means any pro fighter who supports himself with boxing alone and doesn't have to "work"), success is about training smarter not harder. I've no doubts both would train very hard, the best trainer would be the one constantly working on their weaknesses, refining their strengths and studying their future opponents. Neither fighter has ever come into the ring looking unfit and not sound for 12 hard rounds, and both have done very well at evolving their styles through their career. The focus for Pac has been more physical in improving strength and speed, while Mayweather seems to have made stylistic adjustments to keep him on top of larger foes
Mayweather trains on a religious level...he is about the only boxer I can think of that will probably be in the gym everyday even after he retires for good... ...with that being said, Pacquiao W12 Mayweather.
actually Baguio city is only at 1500 FT above sea level, but I read somewhere that he does a lot of work up in the moutains around Baguio.. so It's hard to say exactly how of an altitude he trains at, but it doesn't seem too crazy, not like Big Bear or anything like that (over 7000FT)
