1 walcott never had better chin than patterson
2 i see patterson beating every guy of the list without problem,if you are insinuating that any mediocre puncher could beat floyd you are crazy
3 patterson was better than walcott, a past Prime louis would be the only danger here

Being a puncher doesn't guarantee beating Patterson. Ask Archie Moore.

Louis is a bad match for him, but Floyd could beat most of the others.

No disrespect to Moore, but he was not a puncher like these guys at heavyweight.

Being a puncher doesn't guarantee beating Patterson, but if he fights a whole row of them, expect him to get knocked out.

Bivins record between 1942 and 1946 was comparable to any winning run Walcott made against the same or similar opposition.
Between 1946 and 1949 Bivins was losing a few but still considering the opposition, we're looking at an incredible run in that period.

Apart from Louis, I'd say Moore had either better or at least comparable power to those named in the first post. Not many were punchers on a par with Liston, which is what it took to keep Patterson on the canvas. Several might put him down, but it's more likely he knocks them out IMO.

I originally thought Patterson would fair well, guess a lot of people don't see it that way. How about Ingo though? I'm not sure how he'd fair against Louis and Charles. Do you guys give him more of a chance than Patterson against this set of fighters?
