Who underperformed more in their fight, Hopkins or Calzaghe?

I'm a Hopkins fan but I always had a lot of respect for Calzaghe. He's a great fighter and he gave Nard by far his hardest fight since Roy Jones Jr, and I agree their fight could have gone either way.
In my opinion, these two are the two best fighters in the sport today, and they are on the same level because Calzaghe is younger and much closer to his prime than Hopkins.
Obviosly, both won all the belts and had 20+ title defenses. they have a few similiarities and they neutrilized each other in their fight.

But I clearly feel B-Hop is the better fighter in his prime, but there is no shame in that, because Bernard Hopkins has amazing skills and is one of the 10 best fighters of all time.

There should be a rematch to confirm that the split dec. win by Calzaghe was nothing but a fluke.

I am still uncertain whether Calzaghe could beat Hopkins clearly if they rematched. It is a fight I would very much like to see.

Hopkins underperformed because he was well past 40, not because he had an off night.

You can only underperform compared to your present-day potential.
