Who wants to see Oscar and Sugar Shane matched again?!

Personally, the relationship they have as business partners and intimate friends at this point turns me off to a potential third fight. But if it happened I would pick De La Hoya, I think he's got more left than Mosley.

 

I don't ever want to see Oscar fight again. he has lost just about every big fight he has been in. I will never pay to watch Oscar fight again he only cares about the money.

 

I'd take Sugar in this one.

 

I'm not surprised really, I know most people agree with you, McGrain. They way I see it is Mosley is still better with his feet and his legs, and De La Hoya at this point is better with his arms and his fists. Mosley's performance in the Cotto fight from a technical standpoint was pretty darn pathetic, IMO. It wasn't just the "one shot at time" stuff he was criticized for, his timing was very poor, and he looked to be showing trace signs of boxer's dementia. Some of the punches he threw were incredbily slow and lethargic. I'm wondering if Mosley isn't shot at this point... He's honestly got me guessing.

 

ehhh. shane would win that fight every time. maybe just so i could put all my money down on mosley UD 12 and come up big.

 

It wouldn't happen out of obvious reasons

It could have been better if he fight Mosley now instead of Pacquiao . . . . but after? No need . . . DLH should be ashamed of what he has been doing lately and retire.

What about mosley v margarito

 

I'd rather see Trinidad vs DLH II.

 

I think that would be a landslide UD for De La Hoya, and a dull fight. I would quite like it to happen as it would be justice for De La Hoya after that joke of a decision in 1999, but after watching the Wright and Jones fights, I honestly feel Trinidad is now beyond shot, he is a completely spent force with absolutely zero left to offer as a professional boxer, despite all his past talent and achievements.

Also, if he had to boil down to 154 again, even though that is more natural to him than the ridiculous 170 limit for the Jones farce, all that weight gain and loss is not good for a guy Trinidad's age, it would make him even less sharp than he is - which is about as sharp as a flaccid *****.

If I could choose De La Hoya's next and final opponent, I would have went for either Hatton (a fight DLH could have tempted him into with the lure of cash and could definitely have won as Hatton was not effective above 140, but would still have been competitive and attracted huge interest) or Mosley (again as I think DLH could win, and again because it would be justice for the result of the 2nd fight which was an awful decision IMO). I think Oscar at this stage is right to avoid Margarito, as he couldn't win that one. He has taken on enough brutal challenges in his career to have earned the right to pick his last one.

Hatton or Mosley would have been infinitely preferable to Pacquiao.
