golovkin and McClellan are arguably the number 1 & 2 hardest punchers in the middleweight divisions history. Golovkins body shots can break bones, but so can mcclellans.

Who was the better body puncher?

I don't agree they are the hardest punchers in middleweight boxing history. For single shot power Julian Jackson is better no contest. Then you have old timers who knocked out heavyweights like Stanley Ketchel and Bob Fitzsimmons.

The best body punchers in middleweight history are Mike McCallum and Bob Fitzsimmons.

McClellan put Jackson to sleep, and if we matched golovkin against subpar heavyweights I'm sure he'd knock them out too

This doesn't take anything away from Jackson power though does it. McClellan was just the better all round fighter. He also possessed an iron jaw unlike Jackson.

Maybe GGG would. The problem is he hasn't and he hasn't even knocked out 1 elite level middleweight.

That's because Jackson didn't have a great chin, doesn't mean he wasn't the bigger puncher of the two. GMan had a iron cast jaw to go with his power, along with the size difference that's why GMan got the better of Jackson and even then GMan wasn't the same and complained of headaches afterwards. When you think the bombs GMan took off of Jackson and Benn it's not that surprising he ended up the way he did.

As for Golovkin KOing heavyweights, that's pure speculation, though I wouldn't doubt it if a rumour went around saying he had done so in sparring.

As for who hits harder to the body between GMan and Golovkin? At the moment I'd say GMan simply because he was huge at the weight, more like a light heavy who drained down rather than a true middleweight and that body shot where he folded up James Williamson is more brutal than anything I've seen Golovkin do.

    Macklin says hai

And let's hear what cast iron Martin Murray had to say about GGG's body shots....

"They say the shots you don't see are the ones that hurt and it was the uppercuts and especially that first right to the body that hurt me - I'd never been hit by a harder body shot in my life"
