Biggs was more talented, I feel, but just didn't live up to his name. I think Williams took his career more seriously. He got in there young against a savvy ATG veteran like Holmes and had confidence. Biggs got Tyson instead of an old Holmes, so that could be the difference when both fighters met their fork in the road.

Biggs had more talent but he was also way more of an underachiever, so I'd pick The Truth by a unanimous decision.

I don't know what went wrong with Biggs. Everybody he fought seemed to have their best night against him. Journey men came to fight. His opponents were more competative against him than others. Bey, Tillis, Simms, Snipes all came to fight and were trying to kill Biggs. I don't know what Tyrell did to upset them? Because many times those guys offered far less. Then against Damiani and Bowe Biggs really tried hard but came up against good guys in their prime.

Williams was more able to discourage a guy and put them in their place. Against Burt Cooper Williams neutralized a good up coming fighter in dominating fashion.

Williams was a bit better and hit harder, but Biggs was talented, too.

Williams looked excellent against Holmes, he was beating Weaver pretty badly till the KO loss, he looked very good vs Bert Cooper and Trevor Berbick.

Late careers of both were similar and both ended it with identical records 30-10.

It's easy to pick who would win in the ams, but not the pros.

Tend to think of Tyrell as a one handed fighter...jab only.... loved both guys and Carl had lots more potential except for the chin..

Carl the Truth was slightly better. He had a superior jab and more power in the right hand.. Could also get up off the canvas to win. but its not a landslide pick either.

He had a stinging right hand, but it wasn't a ko punch. Biggs needed to do strength training.

Good question.. I think Williams was, I actually think "The Truth" early on was as good as many of the fighters in the 80's who won belts. Unfortunately for him he lost a close decision to Holmes then got knocked out by two punchers. After that he never seemed to recapture top forum. I think those losses effected him a lot mentally. As a matter a fact I feel both of there losses to Tyson ruined them as fighters.

Williams. He fought at a higher level. Tyrell was an awesome amateur, but to be honest a mediocre pro.
