At least Valuev fought WITHIN the rules - but both were limited fighters who are among the worst beltholders of all time.

Ruiz beat Holydfied and so did Valuev. So, this is a dangerous fight for a Cruiserweight champion.

holyfield was a heavyweight for 16 years as well as undisputed heavyweight champion as well as winning the title 2 other times ...cruiserweight for maybe 3 1/2 years
so im not sure how holyfield qualifies as a cruiserweight joke.... :huh

That's what the influence of Don King will do for you.

Ruiz is exhibit A of boxing corruption - how the influence of a powerful promoter can take a mediocre fighter with all the boxing abilitiy of a high-grade clubfighter, get him undeserved rankings, a free pass for his illegal and disgraceful tactics, and several title belts his limited abilities didn't merit - and wouldn't have allowed him to get without all the corruption and cheating.
