Just wondered if use guys remember the build up and your predictions? Leading up to the fight i thought Ali looked really good Frazier 2 and Norton 2.
Ali was holding on all the time against Frazier and only beat Norton (who wasn't supposed to be any trouble on paper, anyway) by 1 or 2 rounds. Both close victories, Foreman destroyed both in 2 rounds. Ali was considered to be good but aging badly and not given much chance against Foreman. A bit harsh judgement in hindsight but given what was known at the time, no more than a logical conclusion.
