I was angry at Roy back in time but now i believe 60/40 was a very good
offer because Roy already had a clear victory over bernard.

I believe Roy was absolutely right. Roy was the consensus P4P #1 and the Light Heavyweight champ. B-Hop would have had to step up and be grateful he's getting 40% for the rematch when he lost the first one, and was not a big ppv draw at the time, although he did just put on a master class performance vs Trinidad.

I'll always remember that interview. "60 40, get yo ASSSS WHOOOPED.! click"

I would say Hopkins. 60/40 seemed very fair. RJ had already beaten Hopkins and was the best P4P in the world. He was the bigger star no matter how impressive Hopkin's victory over Tito was.

Hopkins knew he couldnt beat Roy at that stage (nothing wrong with that, nobody in boxing from 190 downwards could have IMO) but he wants Roy NOW ?

    **** outta here Bernie :-(

I thought it should have been 50/50. Jones was never a pay-per view draw, Sure Hopkins lost but that was a long time before and Hops had matured as a fighter. Hop beating Tito gave him a fan base, that was a more meaningful win and did more for his star status than any win Jones had..

And also another little bit of fact regarding these two, when Hopkins went down to Florida to see Roy and try and make a fight, Roy gave Hopkins maybe the best career advice he ever got. He told him to stay at middleweight and make money and your name off the smaller guys which HOpkins did (Tito and Hoya)

Back then not many people even knew who Bernard Hopkins was, everybody knew who Roy Jones was though.

Most knew who Hopkins was prior to the Trinidad fight, but he wasn't nearly as recognized as Jones. Jones never became a huge moneymaker cause he never had a mega fight since Toney. When Hopkins beat Tito he became the real deal in the publics eye.

It was a fkn disgrace that these 2 never fought back then... the same situation is happening with Mayweather & Pacquiao now.... completely unacceptable in ANY other sport that the top 2 dont square off in their primes, an utter disgrace & exactly why boxing is classed as a 3rd rate sport by the majority of casuals.

Floyd & Pac better not let us down..... AGAIN.... we need this fight to try erase embarrassments like their previous attempt & that RJJ-BH fiasco in 02.

Jones was at fault. He wanted no parts of Hopkins. Now that he's washed up and desparate, he comes crawling back to Nard. Don't worry Roy, Hopkins will beat you so bad you'll have no choice but to retire.
