In the circumstances after being dropped it would be hard to give all those belts to Jacobs, just how it works in that to take the belts you have to clearly do enough,I thought Golovkins jab was way superior that night than against Canelo and Jacobs was visibly hurt a few times when Canelo wasn't but all in all the Jacobs fight I Romberg did have me worrying so it must of been close as the judges did have it.
Defo styles makes fights and curiously I'd have Jacobs doing well over Canelo more so than GGG.

    1) Hmmm, could have fooled me. I thought champions usually earn the lions share of the fights. Being champion, you get much more than who you're defending against even with paying sanctioning fees etc..
    2) IBF does.
    3) GGG never weighed 185lbs in that fight. If you think that you need better glasses. Jacobs on the other-hand looked like he weighed 180lbs+ during the fight. Make a poll on here if you want to see if people think Jacobs weighed 180+ during that fight. I read the comments during, and after the fight and already know how that poll will go down.
    4) I'm not crying.
    5) The only fool here is you. Jacobs has missed weight a few times in his career now, and he'll do it again in the future to gain a physical advantage over his opponents. He never did it to avoid sanctioning fees, he did it to gain a 10lb advantage over an elite opponent. For that, I deem his actions unsportsmanlike and don't really classify this contest as fair. If you want to, be my guest. I don't really care.

Jacobs did too much moving about the ring for someone clearly much taller and bigger than GGG,Abel called it running as he did Canelo, personally I think both knew it would be mad to trade with him as his chin is so solid but to the judges all they see is Golovkin walking em down and they like that kinda thing even if it's not that effective, they just like to favour the aggressor I'd say.

    1. Not if you are getting 2 other belts in the process. Then you are still champ earning the champs' share.

    2. IBF does not have a rule that you have to weigh within 10 pounds morning of or the fight is instantly called off. You just cannot compete for their belt.

    3. Dude. It's just a rumor. Just like yours is. So, chill.

    4. Yeah. You crying.

    5. Which other times did Jacobs miss weight? You know for a fact that he scrapped the IBF to gain a specific 10 lb advantage? Or is that just another rumor that you only like to point to when it fits your argument/opinion?

    6. If you don't classify the fight as fair, do you have any idea how dramatically different your whole perspective of boxing history would be? Titles would have entirely different lineages. Certain fighters would lose their best career victories. Other multiple-loss fighters would be undefeated in your mind... That's ridiculous but if you want to live in the bubble, keep on living in it.

    4. I don't get emotional over things that don't matter to me. The only person who got emotional was you for attempting to mock me in a slimy way to sound like extra weight won't help in prize fighting.
    5. Daniel Jacobs “It wasn’t really me being disrespectful,” Jacobs said of skipping the second-day weigh-in. “It’s my prerogative to wanna get up at 6, 7 o’clock in the morning to do a weigh-in, and be restricted to 170 pounds. So it was mainly me just wanting to stay hydrated and not have to focus on the little things, even though I respect this boxing game. I respect all [sanctioning bodies] and their rulings. “But for me, I really wanted to focus on this fight. And we had a game plan. We wanted to make sure we used our size and we had the best possible nutrition that we can. And waking up early, for me, was just a hard thing to do. Not because we were overweight, but I didn’t wanna have an issue whatsoever.”
    6. I don't have the time to read about the weigh-ins of other fights throughout the ages, I just don't have that kind of time on my hands. I was anticipating two of the top 160lb fighters going at it though earlier this year. 1 of them was willing to do the correct procedure to make sure the fight went according to plan. One of the fighters missed weight though, in order to gain an advantage in their bout.
    7. I just noticed your other post in another thread mocking guys who mention weight during fights. There are weight classes for a reason you know, RG found that out the hard way recently. Now, smartarse. This is why I deem DJ's actions almost intolerable. He had a clear 10lb weight advantage over GGG in that fight in a combat sport. Adding 10lbs of extra weight not only give DJ extra durability but it give him extra power which could have ended GGG's career. If the fight was fair, both 170lb, the fight is not as gruelling on GGG, as I think this fight took a lot out of him, more so than it should have if they both weighed the same.

That 10lb advantage would be like Eubank Jr at 168lbs fighting Kovalev at 175lbs
Yeah, seems ok to me... It never seemed fair to Ward when he dragged Dawson down to 168lbs.

You are completely naive to boxing weigh ins and in ring weights. Through choice or accident. You are.

You need to go back through, fight by fight, the history of pro boxing then come back to us and tell us which old achievements no longer exist and where everyone's record stands at.

    4. News to me.

    5. Exactly as I said. No rules broken.

6a. You need to either find the time or risk being hypocritical.

6b. Daniel Jacobs did not miss weight. That is a fact. You are factually incorrect. But that's not surprising, the way you cite and bring up rumors.

The only person naive to boxing weigh-ins here is Daniel Jacobs, because he keeps missing them to gain a weight advantage. Did you read that quote I posted above? He plans to go over 170lbs.
    Look, this part.
"It’s my prerogative to wanna get up at 6, 7 o’clock in the morning to do a weigh-in, and be restricted to 170 pounds."

Fighting at or above 170 lbs for a Middleweight fight is NORMAL. It's not obscure. It is more the usual, not the unusual.

That's what you don't seem to understand.

Once again, there was one weigh in. He showed up. And he made the same 160 lb limit as Golovkin!

Next up, medical checks, hand taping, and then ring walks!

IBF second day weigh in is entirely optional.

Jacobs is far from the first person to not fight for a title that could have been otherwise on the line.

No rumours, I saw the fight live you could tell GGG was fighting a LHW in there.

Is that why they both made the Middleweight limit at the required weigh in the day before?

I have eyes too. You can still go back and watch the weigh in on youtube. I would advise that. Tell me again how he missed weight or cheated? I would be happy to admit I was wrong here.
