Well, GGG being the honourable man he is still did the IBF weigh-in in the morning under 170lbs. Now, if you don't see how this CLEARLY gives Jacobs a huge advantage in this fight than you're the naive one when it comes down to weigh-ins.

""According to @VictorConte, @DanielJacobsTKO weighed 176 pounds at 8 am today "all by design.""

This was doing the rounds that morning and it clearly helped Jacobs gain a massive weight advantage over GGG because he could eat like a gdamn horse the night before, whereas GGG had to stay within the 170lb limit.

I guess that is a backlash of worshiping the sanctioning bodies' ABC belts, if doing so hinders your ability to compete at your highest level.

Had Golovkin skipped the weigh in and be stripped of his little IBF trinket, not a single person would be calling him dishonorable. Honor has nothing to do with it. Paycheck, opportunity, and marketability has everything to do with it.

As for the tweet, there you go again constantly pushing rumors. Twitter rumors, too. And citing none other than Mr. Conte's twitter rumor, at that. Wow. Cool.

    1. If competing at the highest level is breaking the rules; DJ is not competing at the highest level. He's competing at his OWN level because he's not staying to the rule book other athletes follow.

    2. GGG worked his entire life to become undisputed champion of the middleweight division. Its very unlikely he would give up on his dream because of one opponent trying to gain an advantage over him.

    3. It seems that tweet had WEIGHT behind it, as Jacobs clearly outweighed GGG in the ring as most boxing fans, ex-boxers and pundits spoke about it at length during, and after the fight. Even boxing fans on boxing forums still talk about it to this day. Some of those fans just dismiss it as "ohh, it happens all the time" Well, it shouldn't happen at all.

    1. Please please please, just tell me which rule Jacobs broke. I thought we went over this but apparently not. Tell me which rule he broke. Because this whole back and forth is pointless if one of us (you) can't acknowledge the facts that require no speculation.

    3. I have always agree with your last sentence. It shouldn't happen all the time. But it does. And when you don't acknowledge that, you are somehow naive despite surfing a boxing forum or you are a fool.

    1. We have gone over this, its unsportsmanlike. I never said he broke any rules did I?

    3. It does happen all the time, it is very rare that a boxer gets an extra 10lb advantage over the champion. Canelo and GGG had a few lbs either way, I couldn't even tell who weighed more during the fight. DJ had 10lbs plus on GGG, and that is bull****. I've nothing more to add, do you?

I scored the fight to DJ by 1 round, knowing he had a clear weight advantage over GGG using unsportsmanlike means. Thus, I judge the win tainted. If you don't fine. I do, so shut the hell up about it.

Had Jacobs stood his ground. GGG would have lost.

Man I hope you aren't watching Ramirez vs. Hart right now.

"Hart is in there fighting a legit cruiserweight!!! What a No Contest this will be!"

I disagree, I think the range played a great part in his performance. If he went toe to toe with GGG he's probably going to get knocked out. He went down once and knew to stay out of range. It helped him in the fight.

I never said he broke any rules, as he couldn't have because he ate the rulebook the night before the fight to gain a clear weight advantage. Stop talking out of your arse.

I'm not watching this fight. I don't mind a gigantic height advantage like Rigo had to face in the past, just as long as both boxers stick to the same rulebook I'm happy.

Then you should appreciate Golovkin vs. Jacobs. Same rulebook, both followed it. No rules were broken.
