Both are retired so we can rank their greatness and I would say Marquez rank higher based on accomplishment.
In regards to skill, you can argue till the cows come home. Nobody can be sure lol.

Barrera was the #1 ranked P4P fighter for years after taking Prince Hamed & Morales 0's Marquez beat Pacquiao once. Barrera's accomplished more.

I'm more of a Morales fan. It's certainly arguable who among the trio has better career.

JMM and Morales both beat Pacquiao but JMM knocked him out while Morales won the close fight. Lopez was the best since his perfect record beat Marciano's record.

Here's a fun fact. Contrary to what most people like to believe Ricardo Lopez actually modeled his boxing style after his former trainer. When his first trainer passed away Nacho Beristain took over and further helped perfected Lopez's textbook style. From then on it was at this point when Beristain decided to take Lopez's style and carried it on to his other pupils such as the Marquez brothers.

I think Nacho himself has stated that Gilberto Roman was his best boxer he's trained. Roman was the prototype Marquez and Finito.
