Hill was rated as one of the best P4P fighters in the world at one point, some people rate Maske highly, was he better than Hill or were neither of them any better than Tiozzo?

Henry Maske was clearly the best, then Virgil Hill close next (both all time top 10) and with a landscape behind Tiozzo (just around top 30, but in Cruiserweight 10).

Hill was clearly above the other two imo.Maske has only one relevant name on his cv imo Charles Williams, Hill was washed up when Maske finally beat him.Rochigianni wasn't much, Barkley was past his best.

    IBF defences against

Egerton Marcus* Had been rated at one point
    Andrea Magi
Ernesto Magdaleno* Was ranked the previous year
    David Vedder
    Anthony Hembrick
    Duran Williams
    JohnScully
Were **** take jokes imo, so its definitely

    Hill

    Maske
    Tiozzo
Neither of the above two are top 35 light heavyweights, imo.

Virgil Hill wins this easily. More title defenses and he was not exciting and rather boring, but he was effective moving and jabbing.

Maske was disadvantaged in several meanings, as I mentioned more than once here, not only by the judges but also the referee especially, while it was too close to call. But he dominatedthe rematch after more than 10 inactivity.

You also have to look over the whole career, not only the direct match-rate and Maske cramped/ was nervös, because he announced his retirement several months before this fight (was his goodbye bout). Or do you rate Douglas over Tyson just as Jones in front of Barrera?

Maske was also linear champion, as he won against the best reigning world champion in (Prince) Charles Williams, who was over 8 years undefeated, better than any scalpes of Hill and Tiozzo.

Maske was no joke. He is a criminally underrated fighter who probably should be in the hall of fame. I really wish he would have kept fighting after his loss to Hill. It was quite an achievement coming back after ten years off but I would have loved to have seen him in against Jones, Toney, Moorer etc. I fell like Hill accomplished more in his career but I am definitely a fan of Maske. He was a pro's pro.

Well Jones moved a bit up later and Toney was not world class in Light-Heavyweight. He had already announced his retirement before the first Hill fight, therefore sang Andrea Bottelli and Sahra Brightman the first time Time to say Goodbye, even on the entrance (usuallycame he with Conquest of Paradise in the ring, where he won on a chart list).

Maske accomplished everything possible; he had actual with 10 in row the same numbers of title-defences as Hill, was his amateur achievements were a lot more impressive.
