Who was better P4P: Roy Jones Jr or Floyd Mayweather Jr?

I believe Roy Jones Jr was the better fighter. He convincingly beat Toney and Hopkins when they were both in their mid-20s, Mayweather never fought anyone that good. He dominated light-heavyweight and was the undisputed pound-for-pound king for a long time, he never lost at his peak other than a disqualification and avenged that loss with a 1st round KO, he won the heavyweight title against a live opponent. Mayweather accomplished great things too, but I don't think his achievements match up. He was fast but not as fast as Roy, and whereas he probably had a better defence, he needed it more, Roy hit too hard and was too good to need a defence until he slowed down. Jones Jr the best of our generation.

Roy Jones Jr is the most talented fighter ever to lace them up and is the best P4P H2H fighter ever at 168.

you could make a case for 160 pounds as well, he had devastating speed and power at that weight.
But at 168 you are right, he is unbeatable

Roy Jones. Better competition, more dominant and I rank him higher H2H.

The only thing Roy had going against him was the fact that he was a bit green at 160 but still I would favour him over every 160lb fighter ever.

In saying that he went up and beat Toney straight from 160lbs.

Roy was just damn good. :yep

What if he beats Calzaghe, then gets a rematch and beat Hopkins again. And fights a Tarver be4 retiring, where would you rank him all time
